NOTE: this is by no means a FFXIV is better than WoW thread. I love WoW, just giving a fellow recommendation to those of you wanting something fun to try.

I started it a few weeks ago to help fill the void that waiting for a new expansion brings – and I must say, I’ve honestly been having fun. It takes a little bit to get used to, but when you start getting into dungeons, alliances, hard duties and raids – that’s where it starts to shine. ESPECIALLY with the story. The boss encounters, music and art is really great.

The first expansion is a bit dry and there is A LOT of story to get through, but as you move throughout Heavensward, Stormblood and into Shadowbringers – it really picks up pace and gets fun!

Take this as you will! Just a thought.

Seriously every time I see one of these it makes my conspiracy theory that Square hacked the Shadowlands beta all the more credible.

This might be the 10th “come play FFXIV” thread I’ve seen at this point.

I gave FFXIV a shot a couple years back. It was ok. But not something I was willing to stick with.

No I’m mainly joking, it just seems like it’s a common theme on GD today. It makes sense honestly, people frustrated with blizzard, took time off, need something to play.

I’m not joking. If anyone here likes shooters but also likes MMOs you should try Destiny 2.

Hands down the best shooter I have played and in my opinion right now the best MMO on the market.

If you like shooters and MMOs trust me, please give it a chance it’s free on steam, you won’t regret it.

I’m going to be honest:

Final Fantasy 14 left a horrible impression on me when I first tried it. I don’t really like the idea that I have to get to end game before it gets fun. So I really have no interest in trying it again, it has a horrible starting experience.

I wish it had a better introduction, it DOES sound like I could enjoy it since I like the idea of housing (and it has apartments and stuff). But yeah…I was not impressed.

I personally don’t care for graphics, I think gameplay > everything and the gameplay in Destiny 2 speaks for itself but… the graphics are soooooooo amazing. The world just feels… beautiful.

Nope, I’ll just invest my downtime into other recreational activities like play my Piano, go camping, or some other things I enjoy most. Maybe even learn to play the Woodrow. :slight_smile:

Point is, 1 MMO is enough for me.

I did but can’t get pass the 3 sec gcd and loading times. Might be for someone else but probably not for me

I’d make a counter offer with ESO. I just played through the Morrowind quest line and it’s been a while since I fell in love with a zone.
