The covenants were awesome, the power we got from being each was fantastic. It allowed some really interesting choices for your character.
The theme was so much better than Dragonflight. I loved the maw, the different covenant storylines, the unique events for each covenant.
Unfortunately what hurt Shadowlands the most is the fact they didn’t stop with conduits and the convenant abilities. The depth was too much for most players. So I understand why it didn’t take off.
Torghast was A+ fun, very addictive and every run was different. I loved the collectibles you could obtain from here. It was way more fun when it was NOT forced for player power.
If you separate the SoD system we got from the actual raid you’re looking at another great raid for the history books.
That’s hard to achieve after Castle Nathria. Toa many being one of the best raids of all time.
Shadowlands brought tons of character customization, new questlines for many classes even more heritage armor for blood elf paladins. It just goes on and on.
Unfortunately we didn’t get the same treatment with dragonflight. We got a really unfinished buggy mess that is just now 5 months later becoming somewhat enjoyable without running into bugs or performance issues constantly.
People raged and complained about Shadowlands and it caused Blizzard to rush and release bad content.
Dragonflight will never be as good as Shadowlands, Legion or BFA. Because all the sheep complaining about Shadowlands (who probably didn’t even play it) forced Blizzard to rush this it out.
For the first time ever in 16 years I have unsubbed, uninstalled, and moving onto other games.
When the only people left are the miserable mob/dogpile type you will see in this very thread, probably starting from the first reply. What is enjoyable about this anymore ? Y’all won’t even let Blizz take their time.
We could of even got another really cool raid out of Shadowlands. But y’all ruined it. It’s very clear way more money went into BFA and Shadowlands vs DF. And what we have now, is the end result. Very lifeless, very dull, I’m ready for Blizzard to shake it up again.
