It’s irrelevant that no one is doing the raids (I don’t know if people are or not, I’ll just give you it). As proven by Ziryus, the minimum level to get into those raids is 340+, which then means it is 340+ to raid in Cataclysm.

OP said infernos is to get people raid ready. Which is Firelands, why would anyone be buying 372 gear on a fresh 85 to get into BoT normal?

Likely not. That’s why I said “technically, to be raid-ready, it’s 346” Because that’s the entry into the initial raids.
If 346 is mentioned. Then it isn’t a blanket term because I can tell you now, 346 isn’t getting you an invite to a Firelands normal run.
