I quit my guild today because of ninja looting

If it can be ninja’d, it almost certainly happened.

I’d even be willing to bet that there is some wow streamer that did a whole “this is my opinion on the subject” after it happened.

Bottom line is that most people are out for themself.

Sorry but that’s the truth. GDKPs were beloved because they were the one loot system in WoW that was perfectly honest.

“not giving people loot they won”

Those were the words used by the OP. Someone won loot, the guild leader didn’t give it to them. We may not know the exact loot rules, but according to the OP the bad player won the loot using whatever loot rules they were using.

Argue it all you want, that is what ninjaing is.

This isn’t even remotely true. I have seen several times where someone playing a new class was underperforming until someone that has experience playing said class talked to them about runes/talents/rotation/etc. That is how you fix those kinds of problems. If they are truly that bad you remove them from the raid/guild.

Multiple streamers.

Yeah, won according to whom?

This was a PUG, I am sure, given the lead made a joke about it in guild Discord. In any mostly-guild BFD I’ve done, we do ML and all blue/purple drops are rolled on, whereas the guild keeps greens to sell/DE.

So is it ML or is it rolling on gear?

This is important information

It’s ML and people roll in chat, then the run lead passes loot to the winner.

Hop on over to the crusader strike discord. Plenty of people have been immortalized for ninja’ing GDKP pots. It happens quite often.

Also come to the living flame discord. GDKP pot ninjas are commonly reported.

We have a blacklist for players and guilds that do it.

I’m talking about people who won’t even do the bare minimum on their own. Anyone who’s put in the basic effort of reading their abilities should be able to perform okay.

And like I said the people who won’t do that minimum effort have a large over lap with people who stand in fire. And every boss in BFD has something that will kill you if you aren’t paying attention, none of them are harshly tuned but they do separate out those who are just clueless.

Unless they put a DPS threshold or performance threshold in their loot rules, then yes, they did break their agreement.

If they had put those things in the loot rules then this post wouldn’t exist.

that is just heresay… would never stand up in a court of law.

Clown. This isn’t a court.

but a court is what matters… a person would never be convicted in a court of law for stealing simply because you said they stole something.

need some evidence for that.

for op. until we know what your guilds loots rules then we cant say if its been ninja or not. thats just the bottom line. you are welcome to not agree with their decision and leave but to accuse someone of being a loot ninja without telling us your loot system is kinda telling and makes me assume its a loot council if they have that power to begin with.

as for gdkps ninja pots. yes it has happened but it is fairly rare since most intelligent gdkp hosts know you can make alot more gold by creating a good community and having regular smooth runs.

Have the person who lost report the Raid leader to Blizzard. They won’t get the item they should of won but the item it was given to will be taken away from whoever got it and the Raid leader given a punishment on Blizzard’s punishment scale depending on how many infractions they have had before.

Hopefully the person who got the item has destroyed their old item and doesn’t know about item recovery and so thinks they are screwed not having a piece of gear for that slot. that will teach them to be complacent in the behavior instead of doing the right thing and giving the pug the item they won.

X for doubt.

It’s gotten more and more toxic, yes. This is because of Blizzard’s stubborn design philosophy since TBC. I could write a dissertation on it.

Is peoples pattern recognition/critical thinking skills that bad?

If it was a loot council, why would the person think it was theirs?

Also it’s a post without any identifying information for the people involved. Why are people acting like, this is some sort of court?
