Yeppers. They could rank it either like/dislike scale or how hard did you find this content scale. The player base could self sort via their answer algorithm into groups that have similiar responses. Then the content can adjust accordingly to hit the “just right” on speed/difficulty.
I am waiting for actual evidence of this.
They could also just split the TW queue into two parts:
Current Tier: which now would be 70-80 (or even 68-80 if we get technical)
Leveling Tier: which now would be 10-69 (or 67 again if we get technical)
Then neither side is affected by “scaling” concerns.
This is actually a simple and IMHO good bandaid. The only ones hurt by this would be people wanting to buy power leveling services from the level 11 twink but I’m fine with them being out of luck.
Or I guess you could let them queue as a group still and make it so if even 1 member of your group is locked the whole group goes into that queue

True. The metrics would just allow you to rank something as easy or hard and let you do the blast through version if you find the moderate level of strength in TW mobs too overly time consuming.
If you rank it as too easy, you get chucked up into the more potent dungeons with other players who like the challenges.
That is the whole point of this post. It is to point to the hypocrisy.
Or we could just go back to the old fashioned way it scaled where it leveled players down.
Blizzard took the lazy way out when they made classic timewalking and destroyed an entire community in the process.
At least the old timewalking “twinks” who collected the gear over time like the pandaria cloak and WoD ring wouldn’t run around oneshotting everything, they would do absurd damage but wouldnt just one shot everything.
So what if I think it’s fun to see my xp bar go up really fast because the twink is speed clearing the dungeon and before I know it we’re in another one?

How he thinks any of the insane attacks against me last night from him and his cronies were in any way something a normal person would do is beyond me.
It sucks that they destroyed the community to change how Timewalking dungeons scale, but I don’t think they wanted to maintain so many different scaling methods.
Of course… I’m pretty sure they didn’t change the raids, so… I got nuthin there.
