ESO does questing so well. Best in the mmorpg genre imo. Have fun!
I wish I could get into ESO honestly. Itās the long time ES player in me that holds me back lol. I play ESO and Iām always thinking like, I wish I could mod this lol
Damn sorry for the loss man.
Elder Scrolls Online is a neat RPG. It fails miserable as an MMO. Same thing with The Old Republic. Both are them are immersive and enjoyable single-player leveling experiences and then fall utterly short of providing engaging end-game systems and progression.
Final Fantasy has come a LONG way though. Itās pretty safe to say itās extremely well made MMO at this point. Rough start but theyāve made consistently great decisions since then. I can see WoW players leaving enmasse for it, sure.
I normally just play SWTOR when I need a break. I still have old friends there.
Congrats I guess op. Already put way to much time into this game as is. No chance in hades I would start another game like this.
ESO is great leveling experience. Great stories, and quests areas to explorer and stuff like that, but end game is very lacking. Grinding sets from world content, solo dungeons, dungeons, or public dungeons. Raid, trials, and hard dungeons are for the extreme elisst who looks at you CP before you even start.
Daaaaaaamn thatās a lot of pulls.
a while back I bought ESO and tried to download it but hooooooly that game is huge. My poor laptop canāt handle it, and I donāt feel like buying another external hard drive just for the game.
the beginning is awful. the only reason I got through it is because I originally played on ps4 when my PC died.
Once you get to the first expansion its AMAZING
I still play LOTRO when FFXIV and WoW get boring.
Ill give you a reasons to try it and then reasons to play it.
reason to try it? optional sub. can get the base game cheap for like 5-20 bucks online somewhere.
reasons to play it? thats hugely different. first off, im an Elder Scrolls lover. This game scratches that itch. my main complaint was a complaint that I got from other people. They said the combat makes it not feel like elder scrolls.
then I really started playing it and remembered elder scrolls combat is garbage to begin with. The strength of Elder Scrolls is the world and lore which this gives you in spades. The world is gigantic and ALL the quests are voice acted which wasnt a big deal to me until I experienced it for hours.
The world feels far more alive because people are actually outside doing world events and collecting things like GW2.
has AMAZING housing and gives you a reason to want things that dont have a -.123213 drop rate (I HATE you tusks)
Extreme quality with the writing. FF14 has the best story, and wow overall has amazing lore but ESO is an army of smaller quests and an accumulation of DLCs. The game is by far the most updated MMO.
Itās not a bad game. Itās not a great game. It is a good distraction for a few weeks of content drought. Of all of them, though, I prefer GW2 for my alternate MMO fix.
well you have your point I will state that we have a different definition of an MMO. an MMO is a Massive Multiplayer Online game. Not having the best End game or progression (because wow has easily the worst progression) doesnt mean its a bad mmo at all.
MMO makes you feel like the game is āaliveā. When I turn on ESO I see a hundred other players in town and in zones running around doing tasks, doing open dungeons, stopping to read lore books, crafting, eating, role playing, helping other players do world events or talking about what theyre going to put in their house.
when I log into WoW I see trade chat selling M+ runs. I dont see people talking to get to know eachother or try to help people.
ESO is the most live world ive seen in an mmo since vanilla GW2.
FF14 is anything doesnt do the MMO part well, but its brilliant at everything else.
Those are the trademarks of a Korean mmo.
I have many friends who final fantasy, as well as blade and soul - and you could not pay me any amount of money hourly for me to actually enjoy playing them.
Iād probably play ESO if it wasnāt for that animation canceling garbage you need to do. No thanks I want my combat smooth and fluid like in WoW
Iām playing it right now. Doing the lost treasures of Skyrim event grinding antiquities to get that free house for people. I also need an alpine aesthetic. If you need an island to chill on and use crafting/practice dummy hit me up @hides-in-smoke
I love ESO! Iāve been playing it a lot lately.
I so far, still do play WoW, donāt know if I will continue or not, kind of depends on if I like Shadlowlandsā¦
But I love ESO. I have more fun there than on WoW these days. I also have ESO Plus.
play what you want.
Gw2 was my main game before I got back into wow full time during legion. 16 legendaries deep but once the content died up before PoF I finally lost interest in it
