So heres my proof of $60 coming out of my pocket

you should be thanking me because I was curious on how the boost was

I boosted a DK, this is what you start off with

I was expecting more… this is leveling quest gear item level, I was hoping for maybe normal/heroic quality gear from dungeons, maybe 190 gear

also when you open up the bags, you get:

10 stacks to reset your talents while out and about, tome of still minds
a stack of food, water
5 healing and mana potions
500 gold

22 slot bags

the other bag gave me weapons for my frost DK spec, which is extremely weak in item level

so I am doing the tutorial, everything does well, until the scourge appears on the ship

scourge enemies are not balanced, I died 4 times due to these guys hitting too hard, you can see the NPC healer overhealed me like crazy because I was dying

Once its done you get a portal to Oribos

you then show up here

I go pick my covenant, thinking maybe I would get renown by now, renown 40 and some anima

so I go to Draka at Maldraxxus, she introduces me to the Necrolord covenant, I get my Fleshcraft spell, my DK limbs necrolord spell

and… thats it, I get a quest to start my campaign

I do not get any anima, no renowns, no soul cinders/ash, no memories, no pre selected list of blank crafted legendary gear like a belt or something at rank 1 or 2

you literally start nothing after boosting to level 60

Jesus, that boosted gear is unbelievably terrible. Crafted gear and Korthia gear is all super easy to obtain for alts but no main would survive more than five seconds in any of the zones with 148 gear.

in BfA your level 120 boost gave you a head start in your heart of azeroth with some essences put together, with reasonable gear

I was thinking maybe blizzard did the same for level 60 boosts

They’d probably get better sales and performance if it came with like a 40 renown boost for the toon or something :man_shrugging:

I don’t remember anything being “reasonable” from a boost after they took away our ability to get our garrison.

Also: completely overpriced. Those things should be HALF that price.

I am not spending $60 when I can level to 60 in about a week or so normally. I could buy a full game with that.

So par for the norm with no additional effort put in by Blizzard development based on the required systems of this expansion… Basically they went into the database, changed a number and threw together some green gear.

OP, you paid for a level 60 boost, not a level 60 fully geared and ready to go package. That costs an additional $20 via the WoW token and auction house.

in BfA your level 120 boost gave you a head start in heart of azeroth and azerite

with azerite pieces at a reasonable item level, your whole gear was reasonable item level for 8.3 content
