I’m very excited about mechagnomes. I wish they were more like the pre-curse of flesh mechagnomes, but I’ll take em.

I have a collector’s itch, but I don’t normlly do dungeons, so if I read the requirements right, I won’t have unlocked them until some time next expansion. No rush though, I don’t need more alts.

I like Mechagnomes and I also liked Kul Tirans but they have 2 things going against them for me.
- They are Alliance and I play Horde
- They require dungeons to unlock and I am not going to run dungeons on a race and faction I don’t like in order to unlock one I do.
Weird.
People I’ve spoken to about them have constantly referred to them as a new race on par with the foxes. I was unaware they were actually being advertised as an allied race, while horde gets an entirely new race.

A reskin and an entirely new race? Couldn’t come up with something else for Alliance than a mechanical version of Gnomes?

I can’t tell if you’re being sarcastic or not. Vulpera and Mechagnomes are an allied race. They’re going on the allied race page, not the core race page. I don’t know who you were talking to but they are wrong.

If you’re going that route, you guys have LITERALLY A NEW RACE too with Kul Tiran. They don’t share a skeleton with any playable race.

No, you are still correct. Kul Tiran are still just Humans, new rigging or not. Vulpera, despite using the Goblin skeleton, are an entirely new race. In fact, they are the only new race that was added to the list of “allied races”, every other race has been a reskin of a core race.
So yeah. Vulpera are an entirely new race. It’s pretty obvious that Kelfin were supposed to be the Goblin AR, but the downward spiral of BfA made Blizzard scrap that idea for the surprise fan favourite of the Vulpera. They needed to get some goodwill, too bad our Goblin pals were the ones who had to make that sacrifice.

whether or not you Love the Vulpera, or hate them, nobody can deny the sheer popularity they have. Easily one of the most popular requests for races, with a ton of hype surrounding their release.
Alternatively. The Alliance didn’t get a “New” race. The Mechagnomes barely classify as being a reskin of an existing race. They look just like regular gnomes with high res assets glued onto them.
Even if some people out their really are excited about the mechagnomes, I doubt they can deny that the Alliance got the raw deal here. Considering the Horde got an Entirely new race.

Kul Tirans are an entirely new allied race, not Vulpera who use the Goblin skeleton. They put more work into the brand new Kul Tirans than in all the other allied races combined.
