I need to admit no RDF is so fun!

They say this amazing LFG tool they have help us make friends and increase Social interactions by 9001% well… ITS SO TRUE!

Six of my old friends who all quit during WoD and BFA wanted to give WOTLK Classic a try they were all playing on WOTLK private servers for years now so they were excited to try a “Bugless Blizzard” version of it again, three of them were so pissed off about this legit decided not to join when they heard RDF wouldn’t be in the game. (lol)

So instead of being seven we were four friends leveling together and as we were leveling finding dungeons was a massive chore sometime even with me as a tank (The other were DPS class only) I sometime tried to spam for 10+ mins trade/LFG chat for a heal no result so we skipped the dungeons, so one of us left over this saying it was dumb and just questing with no dungeons isn’t fun.

During the early WOTLK leveling another one left at level 74 since it was legit impossible to find groups for most dungeons and if we tried to do dungeons we couldn’t quests or do anything else since I had to stay in cities spamming trade/LFG chat to find people so he just left.

And just now today my last friend left at level 78 since we couldn’t find any groups for Violet Hold, Hall of Stone or Gundrak after two days, legit nobody was in queue in the tool, I tried to spam trade/LFG chat no luck so he just quit saying he’ll be back if they add RDF.

Now here I am alone to finish the last 2 level to reach level 80 while my other friends when back to play on their buggy crappy private WOTLK server funny enough reason? “It has RDF”

Removing RDF was the most tone-deaf decision Blizzard has made thus far in classic.

Blizzard is so clueless for not bringing RDF to wotlk classic.

It sounds like you’re on a dead server.

Don’t think I’ve ever spent more than 5-10 minutes looking for a dungeon using the tool and questing the entire time.
Though I do have the added benefit of playing a healer…

Sounds like you need better friends and better group finding skills, mine only take 5 mins max

Yeah we didn’t wanted to wait in queues and we saw that each zones level 10-40 had around 30-40+ people durin the pre-patch so obviously finding groups wouldnKt be hard right? Well somehow nobody seem to use the tool for some reasons, there is always nearly nobody in queue in the LFG tool and spaming trade/lfg chat was the only way to even have a chance to find a group which I hated to do.

This sounds like a realm issue. On bene, I usually have less than a 2 minute wait to get invited as a dps using the LFG tool.

I’m friend with them IRL since easily 10-20 years for most of them we were playing together a lot during Cataclysm and MoP, I doubt I can get better friends, but they just prefer WOTLK with RDF which is why they are still playing it right now probably… Just not on the Blizzard classic version.

You’re going to get gaslit by anti-RDF lemmings who will troll you over every pain point you have. Ignore them. RDF should be added into the game.

Classic is for oldschool style mmorpg play, its never been to be a exact recreation of old expansions. Most ppl dont seem to understand that.

Have you try using CC, kiting, or other coordinated strategies? My crew used to run dungeons without a standard group all the time and it was some of the most fun I’ve had in wow.

What you mean is most people were expecting that. By going #somechanges, we were duped with our investment into the game since classic’s launch.

That’s false advertising.

Is it still gaslighting, if we’re just telling you the truth?

The opposite of everything that comes out of you is the truth, not that I expect you to ever recognize it.

Case in point. Begone, clown.

That’s ok, give it time and all the pro RDF folks will leave. Then Blizzard won’t be so tone deaf and all these people that prefer no RDF will get to wallow in their results.

It’s funny because what they don’t tell you is:

  • they play in a mega server and RDF would have no impact to them either way OR
  • they have a good guild group and RDF will not impact them in doing dungeons in any way

It’s hubris on Blizzard’s part to try and “improve” on one of the best (if not THE best) expansions for WoW.

RDF is asynchronous and an excellent quality of life improvement that enables folks to experience dungeons while they are out and about doing other activities to level up. It creates an equal and inclusive opportunity to group up for content. The looking for group tool does not do this. The amount of time to invest in using that tool and subsequently completing a dungeon varies but in my experience I often opt out of doing activities because I don’t have an hour to spare for a 30 minute dungeon.

I’ll probably get out of these classic forums too. I’m done investing my efforts trying to get this thing to change. I’m not seeing any indication that logical reasoning will prevail.

The problem is not 70-80 the real issue is low end content. RDF was amazing for alts and made the process to higher end content much smoother and less of a chore. Like just being able to do deadmines as a horde toon or WC as alliance on new characters was really cool
