I multibox without software and just got wrongfully banned for hacking/exploit programs

i just got challenger on my double mage last night and then got wrongfully banned this morning while waiting for arena points to pay out. it falsely claimed that i was hacking/ using exploit programs. Can someone please help a brotha out. my combat logs and input timestamps will prove my innocence. i multibox using 2 monitors and just sweep my mouse back and forth between the 2 windows lol

Appeals are only handled via the ticket process. You’ll need to submit an appeal ticket and go from there.

yeah it’s just kinda rough losing a whole week of game time every other month while i get a wrongful ban overturned. i swear it’s been like every few weeks i get erroneously banned and have to wait a week or two to get non copy paste response that produces results

If this is happening regularly, then it’s likely something on your system is causing your account to get flagged. Keep in mind that it’s not just software now that is against the rules. It’s anything that is used to automate or streamline the process that’s now against the rules.

If you use a mouse over to change the window focus instead of clicking on the other window, that’s considered automation.

If you use no hardware or software to assist, then here’s hoping you have a successful appeal.

I’m not saying this is the case, but if you have ever used any type of software to automate multi-boxing and it’s still on your computer, running or not, Warden can still pick it up.

no it isnt, it’s literally a mouse setting built into windows. focus mouseover is a basic setting like mouse speed or scroll wheel sensitivity, i still have to press a key on the window to do anything

Perl is correct in their advice, and I am not going to speculate on your particular case; as mentioned, that’s to be resolved between you and Blizz via ticket.

Over the years, I have seen the following things that people don’t realize can get them actioned for automation or exploiting. Just some things to ponder while you wait for a response:

  • Using built-in features on keyboards or mice that allow you to run a macro from hardware or the input device’s software, e.g., pressing Alt-F1 does W, W, 1, 2, 4 in-game.

  • Using built-in features on keyboards or mice that allow repetitive input, e.g., press and hold “1” and it repeatedly presses “1” in-game. This is now a selectable feature in options; those who need repeating keys can do so “legally” by choosing that feature.

  • “Unlocking” the mouse wheel so it spins freely and then binding the mouse wheel movement to something in-game. Subsequently spinning the mouse wheel is then akin to the above; pressing a button once and having it do 88 presses in-game.

  • Using any software to broadcast your gameplay to another monitor; “game streaming” software to play from a machine different from that actually running WoW. There was just a recent one of these here, and I do believe the account action comes down as an “exploit” when that happens.

Good luck on your appeal.

Cool, I hear ya, just thought I’d throw those things out there.

Hope it comes out in your favor.

Just to touch on this a bit. Do you have to actually click to give the other window focus, or does it do that automatically upon mouseover? Regardless of whether or not you have to press a button to do anything in the window that has focus from the mouseover, it’s still considered doing something to streamline the act of multiboxing, which is against the rules.

by that logic, alt tabbing would also be streamlining since you dont have to click the window right? lol you either have to mouseover the window, click the window, or alt tab to the window, or click the window on your taskbar, or w/e action you take

There isn’t much more that can be added to the advice already given and delving into the finer points of what may or may not be considered streamlining or automation isn’t going to be productive, so I’m going to close this one.

Good luck to you, Imitchellttv.
