I haven’t missed it at all, but perhaps I will a little when crusade + wrath is no longer playable. Either would be ideal over cataclysm.

I had more fun in TBC because what I did it the downtime was fish (I fished a lot in TBC, by the time WotLK came out I had caught ~55k fish throughout the entire expansion, not including scroll cases etc.). Fishing in TBC was much more enjoyable because of the variety of what you could get.
Scroll Cases, Motes of Water, Curious Crate, Heavy Supply Crate and the Strange Engine Part were all obtained through fishing and each had a purpose, nothing was useless.
WotLK fishing is just Pygmy Suckerfish and a crate that has leather scraps, cloth and Cobolt Ore… Not even Saronite Ore.
Other than fishing the I feel that the zones were better and the raids were much better in TBC. SSC, TK, BT, SWP and even Karazhan were enjoyable raids.
We already did Naxx for 6 months and even though it was buffed in WotLK it still felt very underwhelming. Ulduar is a great raid but there are annoying aspects to it such as Vezax hardmode timer and just Flame Levi as a whole.
TotGC is a very quick raid and while there’s nothing inherently wrong with that it just made the raid ~40min then off to Ulduar for more Val’anyrs. Doing Ulduar for 2 phases was quite trying.
ICC is fun so far and I think that’ll last for a while longer.

not really, TBC only good fun was Kara and sunwell, maybe bt, no one liked SSC or TK was a choir awful 90% trash mob raids.
TBC arena is awful, nothing but 3 classes, god awful balance,
Wolk/cata provide way better raid and pvp content, more complete class kits.
no one even asked for a tbc era server, cuz it would be empty lol
Not even private server scene wants TBC, those servers are always dead/empty, it’s not a well liked or in demand expansion in modern day.

no, wotlk more skill based, faster in arena…TBC was slow af for boomers, sl/sl warlock brain dead 6 hour healer games, brain dead DPR,
raids were a snooze fest, hours clearing trash, lackluster bosses outside of Sunwell

Yeah tbc is like what idiots pretend cata was like. Good pvp, hard raids but with the gearing style more like vanilla where some items from early raids are really good (like the phylactery and dst). While having things that cata does not have like unique play and bonuses given to each spec. (meaning a reason to bring different specs)
Though sod does with the abilities of tbc and some other expansions remind me of what if tbc in vanilla the raids of tbc are alot better than the raids of cata.
And I think tbc is lame compared to wotlk.

I never got the appeal of wotlk. I’m assuming it’s where the majority started, it’s just nostalgia. The expansion itself… idk, I could never get into it.

TBC Era with the Classic Playerbases’s original character copies is what the real Classic Community deserves.

I think with some tweaks tbc could be a lot better. Class balance for starters.
Who knows, maybe the SoD options will come to TBC+

I liked TBC much better than Wrath. I can get how people would not have the best opinion of TBC though. Some specs brought vital buffs but we’re otherwise dog or brought nothing and felt excluded. If you weren’t a hunter, warlock, or shaman your purpose was to pass the butter.
i hope so. im tired of playing classic remakes of vanilla. i’d take that and maybe
they can do sod wrath. just ugh, no more vanilla lmao. i miss tbc.

I understand some of the reasons that people dislike TBC but I think it is a hugely underrated expansion, and conversely for all the praise with which WotLK is lavished that it introduced a lot of the concepts that players today associate with “retail”.
I don’t know whether TBC Era servers would be sustainable but I certainly regret not putting more time into TBC when I had the chance. WotLK pre-patch was probably the most fun I’ve ever had in WoW.
