Torghast used to be my absolute favorite part of this expansion. Hunting for anima powers, trying out different combinations, freeing all those trapped souls to build up my power, the ever-changing map layout - it was like nothing we’d ever had in WoW before, and it was amazing.
I get that it was probably undertuned for many classes/specs. But the pendulum has swung too hard the other direction. Please consider finding a happy medium.
Torghast is fine the way it is, in my opinion a lot folks are finding it difficult due to a lack of class/game knowledge or simply not having the gear required to complete the higher layers. No one has to do the higher layers unless they want to take on the challenge, players can simply do the lower layers for a high amount of dust and have a good time. I cleared layer 6 just fine with a 177 ilevel. Maybe that’s low for that layer, and I agree it was probably too easy. But I’ve gone and tried layer 6, 5, and now 4, and still can’t get past floor 2 of either wing. It’s overtuned.

The system is broken as intended.

From my understanding, the higher the floor, the more difficult it gets. If you’re going to do higher floors, you’ll need better gear. Idk why people can’t see this

torghast is COMPLETELY BROKEN for heal/tank specs currently, they busted it with the updated
Just tried a layer 3. The caster portal guard on floor two of upper reaches MELTED my boomkin with her .5 second cast spam. I was really hoping to craft my necklace today.

This is simply not true, there a lot of healers and tanks in these same Anti-Thorghast troll posts that have said they managed to clear both Layer 7 and 8 with ease. The problem for most folks is the challenge, it requires both game knowledge and a strong iLevel and some just aren’t there and that’s OK, that’s why they have lower level layers that still give a great amount of dust.
Being able to clear layer 6 one day and then not being able to get through layer 3 the next day seems like too big a swing.
That’s what I’m trying to figure out. I must have missed that.
