Tell me…was it really that difficult to add just 1 server for people who wanted to stick to TBC?
I understand the whole disaster that happened to classic SoM, but they added like 6 servers which automatically caused the servers and game to die.
But just one server for burning crusade? I don’t think im crazy but I definitely think there would still be a sprawling community for that expansion.

I do miss running the flag in WSG without being death gripped backward 3-4 times

I think a fresh server for TBC would’ve been stellar, and maybe a couple of legacy servers for people to put their TBC toons on with all their gear and stuff.

Nope. Wrath added my class and fixed tons of things Blizzard refused to do with crusade. This was the definitive version of this game, and where it should have just stopped. After this they should have went on to make a new MMO instead if they wanted. But they took the lazy “just print money” route with infinite expansions instead.
“I was actually thinking like what if instead of Cataclysm we got expansions that left the core of the game in tact and just… expanded on it”
-This will NEVER happen and people need to stop bringing it up. Warcraft is done. It’s time for a new MMO. That’s the direction they should have gone.

100% there would be at least 2 TBC era server 1 for PvP and 1 for PvE if they do Cataclysm Classic then samething for WOTLK era servers probably 1 for PvP and one for PvE.

Like FFXIV you go play that and it’s the same game from 2013. Sure they had to redo the game out of necessity, but since then the core of the game is still there, and it still feels the same. Same with Everquest, Guild Wars 2, etc. They never just randomly change how the game feels over time or scrap the old content.

People always talk about Vanilla+, I think TBC was more like Vanilla-

I don’t miss TBCC but it’s really less about the game and more what happened to the servers during it. I hated seeing all those server communities die. A lot. If I choose to ignore how much I hated the server stuff and instead focus on the game only and the fun I had with guildies and friends it was fine, not my favorite, but fine.
Now as for legacy servers I think there should be a TBCC one, but that doesn’t mean I don’t understand why there isn’t, because the population of Era is not great, and also Blizzard promised “Vanilla” would be around forever but never did the same for TBCC (not that they don’t consistently break promises).
As for saying you want Wrath forever servers but not TBCC ones well nobody should expect “forever Wrath” servers since the “forever TBCC” ones do not exist. The prescient has been set and if you think there should be one without the other it’s both pretty hypocritical and is not realistic (and also selfish). With that being said plenty of people have said that they want TBCC servers so they can have Wrath C servers in the future and that’s a much more mature and realistic way to look at it.

I do not miss mace stun, rogues in general, SL/SL warlocks, or unavoidable misses that cost the game. I was not a fan of TBC in 2007 or in 2021.

A TBC server isnt going to make them loads of money so quaint, little fan services like a single TBC Era server isn’t on the radar.
Sure woulda been nice though.
Eh not really, but I was a Wrath baby
the first month of tbc was better than the first month of wrath imo

LOL tbc was easily the most garbage expansion just in front of BFA and just behind Shadowlands.
Garbage tier.
Party buffs, terrible arena RNG, boring raids.
Glad they didnt leave a single era server up… just proves how awful the game truly was.
