I’m blasting still. fatebound coin (tails) slaps, its making bladeflurry slap harder. It might be okay brothers. The lack of range now is a bit bothersome, but at least we have EA and time before the season starts to adapt to it. We can do this outlaw brethren
All the doom and gloom about specs, tiers, expansions, etc. is always about the performance of classes in the top percentile which isn’t prevalent for basically anyone.
is it still a gambling spec? i literally can’t stand the Rolling dice stuff and i peaked into the talents and its all still there.
Me: Dang Outlaw is underperforming, I should probably main something else.
Also me: UNDER-DOG UNDER-DOG UNDER-DOG
well i primarily parse between mid 80’s-90’s. I will have real logs this expansion, not hoping a random in a pug is logging lol. Anything higher and you are probably in a guild funneling you PI and all that jazz while you ignore mechanics.
But how does Outlaw FEEL, is it still clunky and lacking of any real direction of design?
It hasn’t changed from Dragonflight, so yea.
Outlaw is pretty underpowered.
idk, still doing like 1m dps in a dungeon run. It feels better to play than those other rogue classes that can be played in your sleep.
Outlaw needs buffs.
Currently running Trickster with a non-crackshot HO build, but even that feels a bit clunky.
Coup de gras just needs to not be an animation lockout and Killing Spree is just miserable as always. Being able to take a drink of water a few times a minute while my rotation locks out doesn’t exactly feel great, when you’re used to constant inputs.
Otherwise, it’s fine I guess. Just isn’t fun watching people (my warrior alt included) chain pull 4-8 of a mob that will murder me if I pull like 3 or 4 of because our healing just does not keep up, and defensives only stretch so far.
I do not really let it bother me with the animation lock out or Kspree as long as they hit hard.
When they are doing no damage along with the animation lock that is just wrong. Put it another way…if you are losing globals due to animation lock it needs to do same same or better damage as three globals worth of finishers/builders.
Biggest reason why DFA was a dead PVP talent for such a long time but finally is worth using because it actually does…gasp damage now.
Yeah, this definitely is part of the problem for me as well, and may be the part that irritates me more than the actual animations themselves.
The effect is a damage loss, and a decent one at that. The opportunity cost of using Coup de Grace opposed to BtE in any circumstance is just extremely stupid. BtE crits do almost double the damage without Crackshot, don’t pull the player into a forced melee range, and don’t lock out defensives.
Adding Crackshot to the mix, and you’re just wasting CP and potentially killing yourself for an amount of damage that is laughably less than half of an ability that you can just toss out from a safe distance.
Edit: The Coup crits will do about the same amount as the BtE hit, but you’re still looking at the animation lock, as well as the fact BtE is just repeatedly spammable for that big damage, opposed to the one time hit on a 25 - ~60 sec cooldown, depending on luck.
what type of damage totals are yall doing right now? I know that technically the expansion just launched, but at 470 im able to pump around a million dps. Idk if it is luck or bad luck, but i just havent seen anyone really pulling any sort of good dps off right now. Fatebound HO/Crackshot is the way to go. im at 11% haste and the global cd with AR doesnt feel that bad atm, and with the mastery i have gained playing the spec over the years, it feels about the same as DF.
It’s low level scaling for the most part. Kicks in as soon as you started the TWW content.
You’ll start noticing that your damage isn’t going higher than that despite gaining almost 100 ilvls and 10 physical levels here in a few hours, but enemy health pools do get bigger.
Just realized you were 80, and forums don’t update.
Part of it is gear stats being low early one with blues/greens for sure, as a lot of classes are heavily reliant on secondary stats. Damage definitely isn’t amazing right now across the board, as is normal.
The concern will start showing later if there is any, as a lot of specs seem to fall off from their current high damage as classes more reliant on those stats see surges in DPS later on with better gear.
Unfortunatly yes. With guns. And primarily slicing diagonally upwards one handed. Sigh
im more upset that we have to take killing spree, and doing dawnbreaker, while on the ships it can just throw you off the side to your death and you cant do anything about it
Killing spree doesn’t even work 70% of the time because of terrain.
Rogues always do well the first little bit of an expansion. Wait til everyone gets gear and they nerf rogues,
outlaw absolutely cranks right now for dungeons. Im doing more damage than the scaling favored level 70s and 71s
