Yeah, it’s unfortunate because I did like the mouse. But I wouldn’t be it again with all the good reviews here of other mice.
Razer Naga imo, i’ve used them ever since early MoP (was using a 10$ office mouse always prior to that lol, didn’t start buying real stuff till MoP)
Only went through 2 mice since then, first mouse started messing up around late WoD, so I replaced it with another Naga
I now have a Razer Naga Trinity, but the other Naga that I got near WoD still works fine, just wanted more options for FPS’
Don’t listen to haters, Razer has great products, it’s their software that’s trash (Synapse) and anyone who says it’s good/not riddled with bugs is just a liar or incredibly lucky.
If you can deal with occasionally buggy software, but want a really good product get Razer.
Yes the proteus spectrum , but they call it the ‘hero’ now : h ttps://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product/logitech-g502-hero-16000-dpi-optical-gaming-mouse-black/12946488 Yes that is the Canadian Best Buy site as I’m Canadian.
edit : and I can’t post links so there is a space in the http at the beginning.
I had the Logitech MMO gaming mouse g-600 The side button are kinda awkward to use but you get tones of them. For me personally the mouse is uncomfortable since it makes you separate your pinky and index finger and it’s HEAVY. Switched to the naga trinity and it’s much lighter and more comfortable for me since it keeps your index and pinky fingers together and you can lift and move the mouse with those 2 fingers, instead of just the pinky on the g600.
Does anyone else have a really hard time adjusting to a new mouse or keyboard? I hate it. In fact the keyboard I am using is an old Logitech that is probably over 10 years old. I have two other keyboards in a closet that I bought over the years and I just couldn’t get used to them and went back to the old one. I probably should have stuck with it and I would have adapted but the change really freaks me out.
Is more of a generic brand than knockoff. I’ve heard a few be quite surprised by how good their products can be.
I have no experience myself.
I currently use a Red Dragon mouse that has 12 side buttons, Rapid Fire button, profiles, programmable for macro’s. Essentially I play MMO’s and never touch the keyboard number keys. I have spoiled my left hand to only rely on wasd/qerf. It’s also weighted and I like heavier mice, but you can remove the weights for lighter feelings if you want. LED blink is kinda annoying but who doesn’t like the lazer light show of an led keyboard and mouse combo.
Ah, yes interesting, tyvmbtw. The reason I say ‘interesting’ is because it’s still listed as the Proteus spectrum on amazon, but it’s nice to know they’re one in the same!
I actually looked at the pictures and compared to the mouse I’m using and it was identical. When I bought mine it was called a proteus spectrum
Make sure it has a few buttons that you’ll be able to bind spells to. My mouse has 6. See if you want a wireless or wired. I prefer wireless but hardcore FPS players can’t risk the lag and go wired.
$200 is way too much for a first time mouse purchase, I’d max it at $70.
Even just doing 5 man low level dungeons I can notice the lag with a wireless mouse and it drives me insane (even worse when playing diablo) , I am not a FPS player (first FPS I ever even remotely enjoyed was Overwatch).
I feel you, it’s hard to get used to a bigger nicer keyboard, every keyboard has slight key depth and spacing differences.
I’ve had my razer naga since cataclysm and it has been great. Its been acting up over past few years and acts weird after tons and tons of button pushes (raid night), but I dislike their new design and I havent found another mouse that can replace the naga for me so I just keep limping mine along.
Interesting. I play d3 and other games and never noticed lag. Maybe you have a less quality mouse or bad blue tooth connection? If you notice lag, you gotta change it up!
yup changed it up, use only wired mice and keyboards.
I have that mouse and it still works great. I love the way the buttons are laid out and the way the mouse fills my hand. I use at least 11 of the buttons (3 of the 5 thumb buttons are a bit of a reach for me.)
I’m afraid it’s living on borrowed time. How does the g600 compare? As far as the button layout and size.
a $50 logitech works for me, just needs to have the forward and back buttons for my thumb. By default the forward button makes you auto run in WoW
It’s about the same tbh. I like the feel of 600 better because of the way the buttons are curved.
That’s wild…I’ve had my Naga since Wrath and it’s still going strong. Guess there’s lemons in any mouse though.
Just wanted to update everyone, that I settled on the G600 which out of the box looks just PERFECT for wow classic.
Thank you all, however, for your suggestions towards other interesting options as well.
