I love new titles, of the "of Lordaeron" title really NEEDS to be Undead-exclusive

I know it’s typically bad press to “take things away” from players, but I think in this instance, it is HIGHLY important that you do so, Blizzard.

Lordaeron may be a prominent symbol amongst the Alliance, but at the end of the day, Lordaeron IS the nation of the Forsaken. And that’s very much what their quest-chain is all about; establishing that they’re working to find their place in the world again.

It would be like giving Orcs the title “of Teldrassil” for helping Tyrande plant a new world-tree. Sure, it might make for a nice gesture or something, but that isn’t THEIR home. Nor Humans or Dwarves or the like. That would be unique to Night Elves.

We can all actively roleplay all we want in our minds, but canonically speaking, playable Humans all hail from Elwynn Forest. That’s part of their identity. No doubt, some survivors were able to escape Arthas’ unholy campaign after returning from Northrend, but the Forsaken ARE the common folk of Lordaeron. So that title really should stay with them.

The questline itself is a great bit of storytelling, so I think it’s still plenty rewarding for its own sake. But I genuinely think that title should be flagged as being exclusive for Undead characters.

No. I have the title. It’s mine. You can’t have it back. And if you kidnap the title… I have a particular set of skills.

Honestly I find Nightelves, along with a few other Alliance races having ‘of Lordaeron’ pretty stupid.

They’d argue and provide logic to why it should be allowed for them, but I bet if Blizzard provided a ‘of Teldrassil’ title to everyone including Orcs and Undead, it’d be hilariously raged about – by the very same crowd. :joy: lol

No.

Being associated with Lordaeron isn’t a ‘Forsaken only’ condition. Any member of the Horde that were to aid them in recovering the city/nation would deserve the title…and there are probably sill living humans that once called it home, so RP’rs that claim that distinction should not be excluded.

Forsaken and human only. There were some humans that escaped.

We can meet in the middle. If we just remove the undead from the world all will be set right.

Ya know, as a Nightborne, I felt kind of weird getting that title. It didnt fit, and I dont want it honestly.

I agree with you.

They should have ‘Restoration of an Empire’ questline for Nightelves – where they announce going forth restoring the ancient Kaldorei Empire ruins throughout Kalimdor for their people with the aid of the Highborne. Then at discovery of life within the great tree, make pushing efforts into the healing of Teldrassil — having Horde be able to participate in the questline like Alliance were in the Lordaeron one, then grant the title.

Bittersweet equality, no? :yum:

Sure right after we remove you

Great thing about titles, they don’t have to be used if you don’t want to.

They’re alive Lordaerons that aren’t forsaken
