I just have 2 more days to get my last rep. Just get at it whenever you feel like it, and eventually you’ll get there.
You act like there’s some kind of gun to your head forcing you to stay playing this game and stay paying that subscription lol.
I think the game has tons of great content. Old and new alike. I’m in complete control of my progression through the game. 100%. Are there things that aggravate me? Sure. Just like anything else in life. And guess what, if I feel like I’m getting ripped off by a company that I purchase from, gasp, I don’t keep giving them my money. If I’m happy with what a company is providing me for the money I’m paying, gasp, I keep giving them my money.
And please, keep your the-world-is-falling-and-Blizzard-is-bleeding-subs-so-it’s-a-dying-game argument to yourself.
Every MMO in the world wants to be as successful as World of Warcraft is. And that isn’t subjective.
Just stop with these whiny threads. Jesus Christ its a bit of work and your mentality and people who follow suit cower in laziness when it takes no effort but just a bit of time to accomplish. Pretty sure the people sit in Boralus/Dazar with nothing to do and complain about not having flying in old expansions. Want something to do? Go work for that. Boom got something to do.
Then my point went well over your head. My comments still stand.
I do exactly that. Leave when the game is no longer an enjoyment to me. MoP kept me subbed the entire time, however WoD and Legion both lost me due to no flying and time gates. I like going my own pace. Why I have a sub now? My friend paid for it because they wanted me to come back and run through some old content with them for old times sake. I still enjoy the old content a lot. WoD is much more enjoyable with flying. Thought about finishing pathfinder for Legion now that all time gates are lifted, but I might not stick around for that. I don’t own BfA. ATM im subbed only to play old content with some friends and goof around.
The game still has some great parts to it that are still really enjoyable. However, this current dev team is slowly picking apart and taking away fun QOL things for no reason and adding in things that aren’t nearly as fun. I just do not find their idea of WoW enjoyable. It used to be for us, the players, to play how we want. Now we play how the dev’s want us to play, and when. It is their game after all. We just pay to access it. Yes that was said by this current Dev team back in WoD days, If I am recalling correctly. You do not have the freedom to choose like you did in the past. The very fact that you are forced to stay grounded is one of those freedoms taken from you by this team who thinks the game is better played THEIR way more then how you would enjoy it. If my options are forced to play their way or leave and take my money else where, I leave. Nothing really keeps me here but good memories, friends, and maybe the small hope that Blizzard will hire a better Dev team to bring back the game to a better state then it is in right now. I don’t think this current Dev team is creating a good, healthy game anymore. That’s just my opinion. I think time gates are a cheap tactic used to prolong short game content to make it appear longer then it really is.
Time gates stop me when I want to keep going. They run the risk by assuming I’ll be back the next day - month, to keep going. When they could lose me completely in that time and I’ll never come back again. If they want to risk that, then so be it, but I think it’s not good gaming practice to do that to your players. You may never get them back after forcing them to pause with time gates. Forcing them to play a certain way when in the past they had the freedom to play how they liked. Again, that is all just my opinion.
This is a really frustrating topic because the people who are constantly clamoring for flight usually end up in one of three categories:
-
Don’t do pathfinder for the sake of resistance and then complain about how long it takes to try and shotgun the achievement once flight is released.
-
Have pathfinder ready and quit the game a month after it comes out because they destroy all relevant content and complain there is nothing to do.
-
Honorable mention to the ones that actually just stop complaining and enjoy the game like they could have been for the past ~6 months.
At any rate…it’s coming, you know it is coming, nothing anyone says will make it come any faster, so shut up and play the game or at least complain about something meaningful like class balance or the plot of the game. Those things can actually be altered by player feedback. Pathfinder part 2 is basically set in stone with a future patch.
No, I understand completely. Sure, profit is good.
However, your profit comes from your consumers. Treqt them badly, bye bye profit
Seems you dont understand greed, relations and multiple aspects of operating a business. You, like the current team here seems to think a business is soley on profit gaining.
Sad.
Lol you don’t know anything about me. Blizzard seems to be doing just fine, and I’ll guarantee they’ll be around way longer than you expect. And save the comments about some speculated subscription numbers dropping or a small dip in Activision’s stock price.
Lol but please, school me in the “multiple aspects of operating a business”. I almost couldn’t type that out due to the giggling. But please, I’m all ears.
Boy, never once did I say you know or dont know anything.
read what I wrote and stop saying lol like your nervous or something.
Btw, I could flip your point back against you. Since you said I didnt know things. SEEMS.
Uhm… good for you?
I did read it, and it’s just another thoughtless jab at a multi-national corporation that for some reason you think should cater to your every want and need. And since they don’t, they’re “greedy and all about profit.” They (Blizzard) owe you (their customer) nothing. They offer a product and a service. It’s up to you whether you accept what they offer and are willing to exchange your money for said product and service. Do they take some advice and make changes? Sure. Should they? Absolutely - any smart business should. Are they constantly evolving and changing their product/service? Yep. Do they owe it to you to give you everything you want? No. Are they required to tell you every move they make? Nope.
Don’t like it? Take your money elsewhere. It’s really that simple. It’s how for-profit corporations and Capitalism operates. Matters not what you think. It’s not subjective.
World of Warcraft is a video game, we’re all emotionally attached to it in one way or another and I get that. I love this damn game. Doesn’t change the fact that in the grand scheme of the world, this is a service and a product just like any other. I’ll keep buying it until I decide it’s not worth my money anymore.
Ironically, there is a bug for all wod rep that you get from farming mobs. If you are 111-120 (if there name is grey), then you get about 1/5th the rep that somebody that is 90-110 gets.
You’re acting like I want everything handed to me, acting like you know me when you then get offended as if I actually said something about you.
Boy, your shilling is increasingly cringe every post. This isnt’ some national debate on whether lives will be won or not, this is a damn post on flying you child.
If it’s a every need for wanting flying in the game not locked behind their artifical time gate, then that’s a sad thing for you. Seems like you don’t understand the distinction between what is real and what is the game now.
You have your head so far up their rear you can make a shish kabab from whatever they ate last night.
Am I cool now, making up useless accusations and insults? I already have, been playing Old School Runescape much longer /play time than I have WoW. Enjoy your failing company, 50% stock lol.
A concur - the value is low for flying in Legion for sure, I never, ever go there - on any alt at 120 - for any reason. (Ok, so I use the dal hearth to get to other portals… but that’s a freebie and doesn’t need flying).
If you want to efficiently farm an old xpac, then pathfinder is your price.
Aww did I strike a nerve? Unable to have a conversation without sounding like an immature child as you are somehow calling me? That’s what happens when you don’t know what else to say. Calling me a shill? Laughable. Saying this BS should “suck a fat one”? Immature. Calling me a boy multiple times and a child? Hilarious. Something about a shish-kebab in someone’s rear end? Sounds like a comment somebody without the ability to carry on an adult conversation would say.
Nice little virtual temper tantrum there buddy. Hope you feel better.
Ah! There it is. Thanks for putting a bit of context to your ramblings. All makes sense now.
As I said once in this thread already - every MMO in the world STRIVES to be as successful as World of Warcraft is right now. That is not subjective. Enjoy your Super Nintendo game.
No, I just enjoy that I struck your nerve real good.
I noticed that you do nothing but think and hold WoW in such a high regard, I fear for your health when it fails.
I played both. I got both Pathfinders when they were new and relevent.
I also advocate new/returning players not having to go through that if they don’t want to.
Oh no I can fly for wod and bfa content! Don’t worry you are not missing anything important!
I’m sorry did you just say I’m the only one that feels it’s urgent? What? Do you not read any of these posts or threads? Lol. And no you can’t get it by casually playing the game. I’ve been casually playing the game for the past few expansions and haven’t had flying since they took it away. If it was so easy to get, there wouldn’t be all these posts.
