Personally I’m immediately taming a stable worth of the risen bakar.
If I recall, “Lesser Dragonkin” is going to be a new pet family. I hope proto-drakes are on the list. If so, time to bust out my Dragonmaw Hunter alt.

I really hope they also make some mount versions of these. I just love the idea of riding a boofer into battle

The Taivan toy is pretty cool and easily obtained. And he is pet-able!

It would have been better if they were less menacing, or perhaps less menacing versions of them, like the puppers from Scarlet Monastery. It makes them all the more terrifying when they look friendly and then mad dash towards you and start biting your leg off. 
That being said, they’re very cool. I’m impressed with a lot of the new creatures added in DF and am so thankful we’re not seeing any stupid demons or mawsworn anymore. Thank God. I’m not implying there would be, but I’ve been dealing with them for so many years now, I was sure I’d never get away from them.

I WILL tame some… I just… won’t use them…
between them and the rockfangs I’m torn . . . might just have the bakar be my main pet on one hunter and the rockfang as my main pet on this hunter (dragon smilodons)

I love them too. Sadly they made them part of the Hound family. One of the single most useless pet families in the game.
