I mean, I do it because that is where we are, but it slows me down. I don’t do as many runs as I might do otherwise. Creating groups just sap my energy.
And that’s my main at 80 where everyone else is. I think about my alts and it’s too much. This is sad because original wrath (the second half) was soo much fun to level alts. I guess maybe this game isn’t for me. I’ll do what other’s do, raid-log my main and play games that focus on things that are fun for me.
leveing an alt with RDF was all new content. I’d never been able to run the dungeons before (not enough people in that level range + the travel time to dungeons in the old world). So it was super fun. if we have another content drought in wrath, I’m not sure I’ll survive it without RDF)
Leveling an alt isnt new content. Its just you doing something different. We spent a year with ICC and a small time with that Ruby Sanctum raid they threw in because it was getting ridiculous how long they were working on cataclysm.
And yea you prbly wont survive due to barely even surviving the start of wrath.
The gatekeepers are keeping it the same playstyle as vanilla and tbc, they want us all to pick one character and just play that one mostly. Wrath, more specifically the second half of Wrath was extremely alt friendly, now it’s just like vanilla. The vanilla classic players stole our game from us.
If you never did any of the dungeons with your main, being able to do it with an alt is ABSOLUTELY new content. I’m consuming content I never have before, it’s new to me.
Of course, like I said I love consuming content with people, it’s just the group creation process that drains me. The game has lots to offer SP mode as well and the quests can be rewarding on doing faction dailies are nice as well.
Just wish I could enjoy this on more than one character
I’m afraid you need to go back and read the initial post. I do create groups but I hate doing it and minimize activities that would require me to, to the bare necessities (generally dailies these days).
You could do what I do. List myself for a group and then wait for an invite. You don’t have to make the group and you can still play the game. I manage to get groups in under 5 minutes. Even faster than the old RDF got me a group as a dps.
Depends on the time you are playing and what server you are on. For me around 10pm to 1isham is when i get fast groups after its a barren wasteland for heals and tanks.
Nope, I read it just fine. You like doing content but you don’t want to have to put in any work whatsoever to prepare for said content. You’d rather have the game do it all for you. This has become such a problem for you that you now avoid group content and prefer solo content because you don’t have to put in as much work into solo content.
So, what logically follows is that you must not enjoy group content as much as you say, else you’d be willing to put in the work to make groups for it. Or, at the very least, you’d be willing to simply wait for someone else to create a group for you, but even that you can’t do for reasons.
To me, it sounds like this game isn’t for you. What you’re looking for is a MOBA or FPS.
So waste time and make your own groups if you want to run stuff eh? Making your own groups isnt fun its time wasting but forced if you want to get into a dungeon in a timely manner.
you’re arguing semantics, if someone has never played wow before, even if the play on retail, everything is new to them. Whether or not the actual creation date is recent or not, people enjoy doing new different things. I mean, I think that’s pretty obvious.
People that disagree with you and prove you wrong are the reasons you hate forming groups? Have you tried not being so disagreeable and wrong?
It’s a video game. Everything is a waste of time. Why even bother running content? Just have the bosses mail you items instead, running content wastes your time.
And running the dungeons isn’t fun for some people, it’s time wasting but forced if you want to get any gear.
