If someone needs 370 gear they need to do +10s not +15s. There is a huge difference between the two in terms of difficulty and it would make no sense to farm the higher key for loot. Do you even push high keys or know what you’re talking about?
You didn’t expand on how this is a false equivalency, watch out when you are making a fallacy fallacy because this callout in and of itself is not a counter argument.
Outside of the antecedent, some arguments are found in logic, some players focus on certain dungeons over other, the overall point system undermines the individual dungeon point system, and player behavior gravitates towards that information.
What is the difference between a player that has completed ML 12+ with a 700io score and a ML 12+ with a 1.2k io for that specific dungeon? Nor does the information provide context on how well the player did in the dungeon, a player buying runs or being carried by their guildmates that has 1k io score may not be as a good as a player that pugs and runs tons of key with 800 io score. The information is somewhat relevant, but barely shows anything of the bigger picture. As the season goes on, the io requirement goes up not only because people have higher scores, but people have score they didn’t truly earn like other players. For this reason, people say that io score has little relevance, but this is the same argument that you guys are employing to counter the leaver score, it provide some more contextual information on whether your dungeon is completed, not timed, but doesn’t provide the whole picture.
okay, I guess i’ve never cared about their point system. I only go to warcraftlogs for detailed information on either an encounter I participated in or an encounter with a somewhat similar raid comp that someone else participated in.
as far as I know, the points they assign are very similar to raiderio and wowprogress.
I left a key last week, an 11 freehold.
We spent 20 mins getting to first boss, and wiped 3 times.
It should take under 2 minutes to get to the first boss if done correctly. I shouldnt be punished for leaving such a woefully unprepared group, or have to dedicate 3 hours to something that should be easily done in just under 30 minutes.
It just goes back to the Master Looter change, people are ruining the game by having opinions on content they will never do, and have never done.
Exactly. Just look up some of these people flaming the OP, they either have no io score or it’s under 500. They truely have no idea what they are talking about. Very sad to see that the game is catering to these kinds of people.
honestly, i think the game SHOULD cater to these people because they keep the lights on, that being said, i dont think they should be able to change systems in place for players that decide to put effort into the game. They shouldnt be able to change systems that they know nothing about, and have/will never do.
Really though @Turnberry. Also this problem is non existent if you communicate, even if you want a carry, there are people out there that will still join your group but have the politeness to let them know. You save your self and the other person’s time by just saying hey we are not going for time or we are only going for time if not we leave or we are going for time but if we don’t we are still going to finish. Problem solved.
Communication and being polite about letting other know what the run is goes along way guys/gals.
My thinking is very logical.
It gets to the why people leave the dungeons.
It addresses why people can’t finish.
It is the tuning.
Yes, people should stay and finish their dungeons. But there is a reason why so many players are bailing on these dungeons. They are not tuned properly.
There should be punishment for leavers; But tuning and timers cannot be ignored!
Gotta respect that choice. I do the same thing. I “disconnect” when our group wipes several times, when a healer or tank is so obviously not knowledgable of how M+ works, or when someone else leaves. And that’s totally fine. It still is a shame but theres no harm nor foul. We as players cause the situations that deem it ok for anyone to leave. I myself have made mistakes in the past that have caused a person a leave. It’s the way of the world. I’ve PUGd my way to about 1000 io score. I think it’s my right to save not only my time but everyone else by cutting a key short. It’s fine as long as the conditions call for it.
Edit People should not fake a DC like I have in the past. If you want to leave, tell them thanks for their time and leave. DCing insists that you may come back, which could cause more wasted time.
I’m gonna need you all to chill out i can only like so many posts before i run out!
“These kinds of people”
“Raiderio score under 500”
The average player should be able to have any opinion they want regardless of their raiderio score. And indeed the game should cater to these, their paying customers.
Any player in your group can sabotage a run. I corrected you for a reason.
You marked your Raider io as private but I was able to use the workaround to see that the highest key you’ve completed is a +5. So why are you in here talking about +15s?
I think doing a fake disconnect is even worse than outright leaving.
At least if you leave, people know you left.
Instead, the fake disconnect means people will wait and wait hoping you reconnect.
That is really, really wrong.
My raiderio score is private.
I did expand on it you just chose to ignore it and cherry picked your way out of it like you have this whole thread. You cannot compare the collection of data of completed keystones and the data of leaving dungeons and say they are the same complaint. They are different data points and therefore a false equivalence.
Yes, they both provide their own form of context but completing a dungeon at +12 and leaving 100 dungeons is not a point of comparison. They are not the same.
Most of your arguments make no sense.
So just because you have a high score, a great iLVL and have no point in running a high failing key does not mean you need to destroy other peoples runs.
Thank god you are alliance.
I don’t care what your score is. I can see what keys you’ve done. You haven’t even seen the 2nd affix. Why are you in here?
Ignore rastlin, he has a privacy fetish.
Finally, something we agree on.
