I keep getting d/c!

This is the last post im gonna make on this issue. Im getting d/c’d currently every 5ish mins now on pagle currently. Im thinking of quiting the game because of the frustration and the lack of blizzard fixing this issue. im using no addons and I have a fiberoptic very stable connection, this isnt on me blizzard.

I was having the same problem on one of my characters atm. That character is currently in Outlands and everytime I log in I get DC’d within 20 seconds. Any other character I log into I am fine.

holy crap im in the same boat! i should have never gone to do mag’s lair /cry

To be sure, I’m not asking this question to detract from the idea that you’re having issues due to Blizzard’s servers (there are several posts about constant DC’ing in Outland), but I’m curious about from where and to where your connection to the Internet is fiberoptic, and why that has any bearing on general perceived Internet stability?

Happening to me every 2 mins in Blood Elf newbie zone. Super fun. Mega server FTW

I’ll get DC’d after a few minutes then several logins of “World Server is Down” in Outlands, been like this for a week or so.

Ya, this is an issue that’s happening in the Outlands zone map which includes the Blood Elf starting zone, the Dreanei starting zone, and the Ghostlands.

They really need to fix this sh*t.

i faced same thing when i was leveling in outland 2months ago, and my friend had no problem being in outland so it’s not a general problem for “outland” it’s probably just for some layers and maybe it’s a problem caused by the dynamic server layering system.

which if i’m correct then good luck ever getting this issue fixed.

Yes, fiber optic lines are generally more stable for internet connectivity compared to other types of internet services like cable, DSL, satellite, or wireless. This enhanced stability stems from several key factors. Fiber optic cables transmit data using light signals through glass or plastic fibers, which are immune to electromagnetic interference (EMI) from household appliances, power lines, or lightning strikes, unlike copper-based cables used in DSL and cable internet.
This immunity ensures a more consistent and reliable connection, especially during electrical disturbances or severe weather. A simple google search would have answered your question. Imagine speaking and not knowing what you’re talking about. Your class and race is working wonders for you right now.

Not sure why you need to insult someone for asking a question. My point was rather that your fiber optic (or other) Internet connection type is between wherever your service is (e.g. your home) and the connection to your ISP; it doesn’t change the entire Internet.

It’s a rather small part of the connection, though I suppose that last mile connection can make a relatively large difference.

I’m happy that I live in a world where people asking questions and exchanging ideas is celebrated, and I hope that others can share in the joys of knowledge sharing, learning, and just generally being excited and interested in promoting growth and curiosity.

people doesn’t know that even if they have 1giga speed internet with fiber optic solid connection that won’t change the fact that the connection itself between a point to another is based on routing.
and if the isp have some sort of firewalls / blocks / gates and that will cause interrupt in the connection and packet loss, leading to random dc from games since games usually use high port numbers.

Nah that’s not the way you came off in your question lol. You were imposing that you actually had some knowledge on the matter. There was no exchanging of idea’s, It was you assuming you were right correct in your first reply to me. It was someone speaking as though they knew what they were talking about. Your question in the first reply was a rehetorical question to yourself. I’m happy that I don’t live in your world. You can say all those things after the fact if you so choose but it doesn’t take away from the fact that’s not the way you came off at all.
