Thought I’d try out some pugs after the balance changes rolled out… first pug into a premade, guess that’s just the luck of the draw you can’t win them all right? I had 1 kill, 6 deaths before we lost, and our team managed to scrape up 3 whole kills all together. second pug… and guess what another premade… team got obliterated in the first mid clash and I just /afked out. It’s such a crime that there’s no venue to have fun pvping in SoD when SoD pvp is actually extremely fun. Crushing pugs in a premade is extremely boring, and getting crushed in pugs by premades is extremely frustrating. The answer seems obvious to me, but Devs please if you’re out there give me something anything I would take an unrated que for 1v1s 2v2s 3v3s or just freaking a spot for dueling. SoD has nothing in it for actual pvpers to enjoy. Anyways back to raid logging for me

Meh. If people didn’t throw, there’d probably be more people willing to play with them, but at is it, if nobody wants to play with quitters, and don’t want to queue with quitters, asking Blizzard to force people to play with them is both obvious, and not likely to work.
Stop throwing, stop quitting, and start trying. See if you have a better experience. That’d be my recommendation. And if it doesn’t work, and you keep finding yourself with a group of people complaining, quitting, and getting GY camped by Premades, post in the customer support forums and ask if for some reason you’ve been put into a BG queue for people who have been reported for non-participation enough times to end up there and if there’s anything you can do about it.
Yeah I agree OP… the state of WSG is absolutely depressing. Every single game so far is against premades and ends the same way. The people coordinating on coms wipe the people who are pugging and its over in two minutes. This was not the way the game was intended to be played.
Another example of how a section of the modern audience min maxed the fun out of what was once a great time and Blizzard doesn’t seem to care.
Wpvp was always more fun anyway and this season has an emphasis on forcing both factions into the same zone to collide constantly.
Q BGs when you have friends ready to Q with, and just go PvP out in the world otherwise.
Vulpera don’t play SoD.
They need to make a brawlers guild thunder dome right outside Org/Stormwind where people sign up to fight, then get thrown into totally random 1v1s against other people who are que’d up. Give people a bit of honor for winning duels there. Just a lil thunderdome outside the main city with bleachers around it so people can spectate duels. Maybe let people make bets on who wins in the stands. Give people a button to throw tomatos/roses.
Just make sure none of it is instanced, it should be all a bout the glory of winning in front of an audience.
Needs a timer though. If nobody dies after like 2 minutes, it should just DQ them both.

Don’t quit for starters… trying leads to winning. A lot of premades are scrubs. Also i feel like there’s some match making in effect. Play a few matches and it seems like you’ll start getting into pug v pug
sir if you want to have fun in pvp your playing the wrong game. vanilla pvp is know for being the grindiest version of wow pvp. ask anyone that tried for r14
wow is a pve game first. pvp 2nd.
It’s SO bad though. To be that out of touch - to put literally 90% of the player base in the pre-made grinder all for the satisfaction of a very few. It’s on a level that doesn’t seem like an oversight. Its OBVIOUSLY just awful and kills a major part of the game, for a lot of people.

So true man… When they announced SoD and 25 level cap. One of the first things I was immediately excited about was to get into WSG after so many years of not playing wow.
And it has been min/maxed by sweaty rep grinders that suck all ounce of fun out of it. I don’t care about my lvl 40 bracers right now. I can grind that rep later I just want to get in WSG and have some fun. Not get cheesed by 4 priest 4 hunter teams

Priests are too oppressive. Premades usually have 3 and that is too much for a pug to handle. Penance and PoM costing such little mana is the problem.
If you face a premade just put 10 on defense and watch as this “premade” of strangers falls apart because they aren’t getting fast wins which is why they’re there
It’s almost like Rated Battlegrounds would be good for the game. Too bad Blizzard disagrees or agrees but doesn’t want to spend the time/money implementing it. Hope they change their mind about that for the level 60 phase of SOD or it’s gonna be lame.
I think arena could be cool too, even if there weren’t any rewards attached. Just a leaderboard to see who’s doing well and what not.
The start of this version of the game was really so fun for me. I hate what battlegrounds have become. It’s not fun and this is the worst I’ve seen wsg since vanilla wow.
The idea that casual solo queuers should go against a premade group of 10 players that are, at worst; geared, rallied behind a designated leader, subscribe to a given strategy, and likely have designated 2-3 spots for healers and at best; very geared, coordinated, on discord, optimal composition, and sweaty… is the most ridiculous concept to me.
