Grips donāt mean a lot when your damage is the equivalent to tickling someone with gummy worms going blubblublbulbublulblu. Iām not 100% sure how thats supposed to sound but you get the jist.

Can it though? I havenāt heard a single story or read a single post about this happening.
Unless Iām mistaken, I donāt think anything can get you banned outside of abusive chat (e.g., not counting account sharing and botting).
I just doubt it happens since 1) people report others constantly for throwing/afking, even when they arenāt [e.g., they are guarding a flag, or just playing poorly, doesnāt matter, people abuse the system and report them anyway], and 2) itās really hard to prove I think unless Blizzard is legit recording every single game queued, which I doubt.
I think griefing is more or less in the same category of offense as afking out of a game, which is ultimately considered to only be worthy of having a stacking deserter debuff and lost cr/mmr.
I could be wrong though, I just havenāt personally seen or read anyone mentioning being banned due to afking/griefing.
Just imagine how many people get reported for griefing because they didnāt use a defensive on time, played poorly, forgot to repair their gear, queued in their pve gear, etc.
Iād go as far as to say that 99% of reports for griefing are actually false/not merited, so I wouldnāt be surprised if there is any punishment attached to these reports [e.g., Iāve had a blitz where I admittedly didnāt play great, but I was doing my best nonetheless, and still someone types out in instance chat āeveryone report x, heās been afk half the gameā].
At the end of the day Blizzardās report system is an absolute joke. I almost canāt wait to see my next suspension email come in for abusive chat, even though I havenāt said a single word to any random since I returned from my last suspension. I know Iām probably still getting abusive chat reports though, because the system really is just that abuseable, and the player base really is that degenerate/toxic.

Ya, breezy got a 3 week ban for it because he typed in-game that he was throwing and the other person deserved it and the gm template response specifically addressed griefing & gameplay manipulationā¦ that being said, the dude also got daily reports for verbal abuse XD

Read the ToS, itās specifically mentions feeding as a bannable offense.

Behavior that intentionally detracts from othersā enjoyment (such as griefing, throwing, feeding, etc.) is unacceptable.

Thatās why abusive chat or literally stating youāre partaking in āgame manipulationā throwing can be banned via the logs, text is saved to a server and can be monitored and examined later. WOW doesnāt save game replays like cod or other games without 3rd party software.
Staying silent keeps you golden.

Almost certainly.
Thereās basically nothing you can do (or not do) in game to get banned in terms of actions, because thereās no way for the game or a gm to fairly claim that youāre inting vs just playing poorly.

Yeah Iād be perma by now if reports did anything I get 2-3 people saying they are reporting me every lobby when Iām farming badges
