I just hate the great vault - it made me uninstall wow again

The vault is supposedly intended to inspire players to play more to fill it up. The fact is that its design goes against all business principles on how to motivate people to work longer and smarter. If you ran a business the way the Vault is designed, you’d have massive turnover and retraining costs.

Good ol’ vault. The RNG mechanic we needed on top of all the other RNG mechanics we already have.

Best part is you don’t need BIS to do the content. Worst part is you got rings with craptastic stats three weeks in a row. Gotta love it!

Not sure about that.

The vault is on par with “get 5 stamps get your 6th donut free” sorta deals that have been around forever.

Do something x amount of times, get something for free isn’t new.

Honestly, you might want to see a therapist, if this is how you handle disappointment.

You sound miserable, and you don’t have to be.

When the “free” catchup gear isn’t beneficial, I usually just get the tokens and buy crests.

Can I have your gold please?

You are getting vault loot at lvl 11? Amazing!

Pretty funny though how tilted you are getting to where you keep uninstalling over a vault that gives you free gear. I mean, you have this huge game and because you aren’t getting your BiS free loot from a vault (that from Vanilla and some expansions after there was never a vault for free loot) then you quit? LMAO. mmos aren’t for you if something like this triggers you so much.

That’s why I support replacing this vault with some kind of currency. This currency should allow you to buy the item you want.

Go away, Sendryn.

I guess someone doesn’t like common sense.

Wait, do you think I am really Sendryn?

Do I seem like an alt?

I’ll be looking forward to hearing about your great vault experience next week.

If WoW’s vault system makes you this upset, I think it’s a good thing that you are trying to find something that you feel respects your time more.

It’s ok if you don’t play WoW and walk away from the franchise. It’s supposed to be a hobby and something you find fun and if it doesn’t do that - well, tally up your options and stay strong with whatever you decide.

There are other video games out there, old and new that you can fill your time with, or even hobbies that are more in the real world, like wood working, drawing or playing an instrument.

considering the direction this conversation was heading the forum devs probably decided “Nope this isnʻt happening.”
Uses Mod magic: "This never happened".

What is the point of this thread?

It isnt free gear though. You have to grind dungeons for it and it’s an rng loot pool of whatever the system decides to throw up into your vault. You can go mythic+ dungeons of just getting 50 gold and a slap across your face for the time invested. Mythic+ looting has always been garbage and the vault is just another layer of disappointment added onto it.

Why cant we have a system where we can buy what we want with medals or currency? Casuals can get what they want that’s respectful to their time. Tryhards can get what they want and speedrun the game to complain on the forums about 0 content like every patch. This system gives every party what they want without playing the loot casino slot machine and it also benefits alts because you can do mythic+ to easily gear up other characters that you want to try out.

There’s no excuse of, “Then nobody would be playing the game”. People here grind reps for mounts, transmogs and titles. Mythic+ is a grind for titles or the special transmog effects and mount. Raid players will still only show up on raid night then not play the game afterwards. There’s a ton of old achievements, transmogs, titles and content to get and do. We pay $15 a month + expansion costs every release. Blizzard benefits already. Players benefit. Everyone benefits.

Please explain to me how having this current garbage system is a benefit to everyone and is enjoyable. Im open to criticism.

Bye.

You’ll be back.

Nah tuesday loot crate is sick feels like christmas

Missing the pvp vault from sl actually

But why chase gear? I understand that there really isn’t much content end-game wise outside of mythic+ and mythic raiding, but we are at the end of Season 1. The completionist in me wants full mythic as well, but logically that won’t make much sense come Season 2; there just won’t really be a huge competitive advantage, especially for a tank. At 626, I can only hope to push 630 which my guild already is expecting their core mythic+ teams to achieve to be ready out the gate.

Right now, I’m balancing 2 characters, about to push 3. I do it because its challenging and fun, but not chasing gear. Gear is the cherry on top, but seeing how I can improve on all 3 Paladin specs + all 3 DK specs, and Vengeance DH, gives me purpose. I chase skill improvement in becoming a better tank, healer, and dps because that is the only tangible that transfers from patch to patch, expansion to expansion

Yes it is.

You have to do nothing extra to get it. Just play like one normally would. If someone wants to optimize their runs for vault, thats on them.

We need to massively nerf m+ gear then. A ton less drops.

Its already respectful.

Its “casuals” complaining.

Why not gear too?

And gear

How is “the easiest system to gear up ever” garbage?
