I just don’t understand why they can’t give us a glyph or option to stay in Visage form in combat except when it comes to the “breath” spells which could then shift us into Dragon form as they are being cast and then back to the Visage form once complete. Stuff like deep breath, eternity surge, ect.
Where am I getting this crazy idea from? It’s from the last class Blizzard designed: the Demon Hunter and how they are able to seamlessly shift from Demon form back to regular form at the push of the buttons called Eye Beam and Metamorphosis.
I don’t even understand why the class wasn’t built like this from the start, but the data is in: Evokers are the least played class at 80 and will likely stay so until some how, some way the Dragon-only lizard appearance is addressed or changed from the current situation. I very much think our low population is 90% tied to our mediocre visual options.
And for the few of you who like lizard-boy only: fine. That’s why I’m asking for the option for the above change and not it being default or whatever. How people can be against additional visual options for their own class, I will never understand.
I honestly and truly with no malice hope they never allow permanent Visage for Evoker. It separates the true dragon lovers that stick to the class no matter what from the people that just want to play another flavor of Mage.
I use dragon all the time. I’d be happy if you guys get visage full time. But for those of us dragon enjoyers? Please let us at least mog (or barber shop) the evoker only sets. Lore wise the dragon form is my true form. So why is mog only made for the “makes it easier to talk to the humans” form?
Dracthyr is the least played class because it’s new (not something iconic like Death Knight or Demon Hunter), the Devastation spec was meh, Blizzard gave it weird restrictions throughout DF (Soar), and it didn’t get its third spec until midway through the last expansion. I fully expect its numbers to grow a lot in TWW, especially given that they have some of the better hero talent offerings which really lock into the dragon fantasy of the class.

Oh, they really lock you into the Dragon fantasy alright… that’s for sure…
evoker/dracthyr are the least played due to the restrictions to 1 class for dcrathyr and the lack of transmog which is pretty much universally accepted as the true end game for wow. along with the range limitations which is just a poor experiment that most people seem to hate. i dont feel locked into the dragon fantasty i feel locked in to a lizard fantasy. i feel less dragon than a fire mage. drakonid do a better job with the dragon fantasy than this unfinished mess
