Nixxiom
Soulbreezy
Wowcrendor
Wowhead
And many more.
They all have alpha access…every…single…one.
All they want is to show off how cool the new expansion is. As someone who wants access I thought about it and. I want the dragon isles and the new features to be a surprise to me. I want that “WoW” feeling (pun intended) back when i get to finally experience it for myself. I dont know, maybe with my new pc build soonish ill stream dragonflight.
Once the “shiny” wears off they’ll all be back to trash talking WoW and the devs and stirring the pot. Hopefully the free advertisement is worth the damage they do.
Sure they do. Viewers on streams are extra sets of eyes who can spot things the player might miss. I’ve seen this happen more than once. But mostly it just gets info out to the wider community which gives massive amounts of feedback on stuff in development.
The first time I got beta access I was excited but ultimately I ended up feeling exactly the same as you, OP. It’s nice to see what to expect in the expansion, especially cool art and stuff. But for the most part actually playing it and watching other people play it is pointless because it kinda ruins your enjoyment for the expansion when it’s actually released.
I do not see why anyone cares about alpha or beta access. Heck I want the dungeon journal removed and internal testing only. That way we can hopefully be spoiler free like a good mmo.
edit: All I want to know is when are Dracthyr going to be playable if they get green lit before launch.
They’ll most likely be playable in pre-patch like the DH and Allied races and i wasn’t around for monk or dk but am sure they were playable pre-patch as well if you already have the DF expansion
