I might make an evoker come prepatch.
Im getting this palli to 60, kill heroic jailer then quitting until pre patch.

Might want to stay away from Twitch and these very forums for a few months, then.
It’s 2022 and streamers provide free advertising for Blizzard.
They contribute for blizzard but in terms of playerbase no not really I would agree. Ehhh maybe advertising player opinions I take it back
Im fixing to quit and go play ff14 for a few months.
Ill come back when pre patch goes live.
That’s legit. I play both. I get different things from them. I think they could learn a lot from each other, and it finally seems like both sides are paying attention to what each other are doing, so I’m optimistic for the futures of both.
Because you know what you probably won’t do with alpha? Test and document. People complaining about not getting in are the same the would walk around flexing that they did.
Many feel the same way. Sadly the way many MMO’s roll out content makes secrecy extremely difficult so they don’t even try. Information is trickled out like commercials on TV.
Blizzard choose to kill the surprise. Upon release, content has lost its NEW CAR SMELL . . . it’s been driven off the lot and lost half its value.
If Blizzard invited me to alpha test the game I’m not sure I would do it. I’d rather just play it when it’s ready
Hell yea. 6.2 at the end of next month.
Then leave this forum too, because this will be the first place you’ll find them, when they’re out. Avoid YouTube entirely, because I saw spoilers for storylines in the titles of videos, without even clicking on them. Avoid the actual game, because people will be spoiling in Trade and Oribos general. Avoid any kind of other forum or imageboard, even ones not related to WoW (I actually had a plot point of Avengers: End Game spoiled on this forum. Didn’t see that one coming). Just…avoid the internet entirely. That’d be the only way to truly be spoiler free.
Basically, it’s an act of futility. Just do what I do and hope there’s nothing to be spoiled or you just get lucky and don’t see anything.
They’re a massive minority in the pool of testers OP.
Pretty much.
I’ve gotten in Legion, BFA, and SL beta and mostly just played around at the target dummy trying different specs. Maybe checkout the first zone a little.
Not going to go and level and ruin the experience.
Being in alpha and beta is over rated anyway. I got into the last 2. Played around for a few hours, reported a few bugs, then never logged back onto it. I’m sure this is the majority experience which is why they add people in waves.
They likely allow the creators in first to accelerate buzz. Basically free advertising.
The ones that I watch seem to know a lot about the game, and might have criticisms but seem to love the game a lot. Currently those people would be MrGM, Hazelnuttygames, SoulSobreezy, Izen Hart and SignsOfKelani. They’re all really fantastic.
Unfortunately it is spoiler season, so if that’s not your thing then I would suggest avoiding WoW Youtubers for the time being. Or, just avoid their spoiler videos, and just watch retail related stuff.
Either way, not all WoW content creators are bad, some of them do a fantastic job.
Yeah, and realistically, that’s just good policy. You give one key away and get 50,000 eyes on the product, not just for selling the product but for feedback, which is very important.
just turn off content creator mode
Precisely. Exactly. This is the way.
Hero classes always get released in the x.0 patch before the expansion starts to give everyone time to level one and learn about it before it starts. In this case, 10.0 will have Evoker, then 10.0.1 will be the expansion.
That’s not why they’re given access though. Do you think designers give free dresses to Kardashians to wear on the red carpet in hopes that they’ll give valuable feedback on fit and comfort?
These streamers are just clothes horses. Pure marketing and nothing else.
MMO’s could use in-house game testers instead of public Beta Testing. $$$
The games would retain a lot more of that new car smell.
