It plays too much like a shaman, and I just don’t resonate with the class.

I think it probably takes getting used to, especially the weird empowered spells and not pulling extra with deep breath AoE. I’ll give them a go at some point once they’ve had more bugfixes
Not to mention having to be a Dracthyr to play it.
I’ll admit, getting my brain to adjust to our empowered abilities was a hurdle, but once I put a few levels behind me, it adjusted. Beyond that, I find mine extremely fun to play. Second only to my Demon Hunter.
Demon hunter doesn’t look, feel, and play like an entire dumpster fire though.
I like the way mine looks and plays, though. Ergo, it’s subjective.
Eh, I don really care if I look pretty in the game. I’m more interested if a class feels fun to play.
The short range feels awful. It feels like I’m always having to run in to do DPS. I mean, a BM hunter is a true mobile and can do it from much further away - same with my ele shammy.
The abilities feel clunky. I’d feel much better if I could move and cast all abilities, except charged ones. Deep breath looks cool, but it can also be awkward to pull off and can get you killed during animation. I like it cause it’s unique, but at same time frustrating.
Lol sounds like a you problem. Details is essential for competitive content
No, it’s really not at all.
Yes it is.
Better to say you don’t care about competitive than be argumentative for sake of argument.
I play Frost so there is no way you can hate it!
Like NO WAY dude.
Just because you do not enjoy a class; that doesnt mean you need to bash people that do.
Everyone has opinions. Everyone is different. What is a nightmare for you is blessing for someone else or vice versa
I don’t like Monk at all, so I play it anyway and just post on GD when I’m frustrated.
I get the snide joke but if that were true? Sadly you would just be like most people around here lol
I really dislike Hunters. So I avoid the class like the plague
That was in fact the joke, dry humour ftw, I appreciate the nod, but yeah I’m not one to play something I don’t enjoy, that’s just silly.
If more people did this there would probably be a lot less frustration around here but unfortunately a lot of people feel forced to play a certain class to keep their raid spot in their Guild.
I think this is the most common reason people play a class they don’t enjoy. My thought process to that is why play something I don’t enjoy even if it means I lose a raid spot? I mean if I’m not having fun I’m not going to be playing the game anyway. I just simply lose my desire to ever login
People that KNOW how to play Evoker rock it! That would be why Preservation is “S” tier in M+. Some of the highest DPS I’ve seen in runs have been from DPS Evokers. But then again, this is from people that have taken the time to truly learn how to play the class and are excelling at it. On the other hand, some of the lowest DPS have been from DPS Evokers. You can’t just create one and expect to be good.
I don’t like that the npc evokers can fly, but the player can’t.
It’s actually not though? Does details enable you to do your rotation better than perfect? Didn’t think so. If anything, it is way more competitive to not run details because it implies you know what you are doing and don’t need the dopamine of a meter to validate your inputs. It’s a huge performance tax on the pc, and most people aren’t running strong enough systems to have the overhead needed. This is why the game feels like it has an input lag issue a lot of the time, details is bad.
Nice try though, the copamine of the dopamine clinging.
