I spent extra money to play the game with the character boost NOW not when you decide its done pending? I was charged for it too?

Pending usually mean payment is processing. that is all depending on your bank.

Character boosts are always kept under review until Blizzard receives the funds. Your bank has earmarked them for transfer, but hasn’t actually done so.

It is typically dealt with within 24 hours.

yeah when I spend $300 + at any store they don’t make you wait to take the item home?

Online transactions are quite different than a brick and mortar one. You might want to chill and let things process.

Perhaps complain to your bank? Hold ups are usually on their end.

defeat I suppose . I understand the nature of what is happening. Just think its dumb that I paid extra for a feature allowing me to use the content I just bought now but it then makes me wait?

The wait is because of online fraud protection. It’s why we cannot have nice things.

Also, please take note of the following restrictions for freshly boosted characters:

After you use a boost on a character, or create a new Demon Hunter character, you need to wait at least 24 hours before attempting to enter old dungeons or raids. It may take up to 48 hours to clear the locks on older content.

  • You cannot purchase a character boost in another region.
  • Customer Support will not assist with any mistakes using a boost.
  • Allied Races —Boosted Allied Race characters will not earn Heritage Armor.
  • Character Services —It is not possible to buy a Character Transfer, Faction Change, or any other service for a character that has been boosted in the past 72 hours. Customer Support cannot bypass this restriction.
  • WoW Token —It is not possible to boost a character with a WoW Token in the inventory, bank, or mailbox.
  • Glyphs —Applied glyphs will be erased from your character when boosted.

I just wanted to touch base on this, there is no ‘use it now’ paid feature option. You purchased a licence upgrade, thats it. Online purchases can take upto about 72 hours to clear, but they mostly process through within an hour or so. The xpack will unlock straight away, you can start into the new content, leveling restrictions are lifted, but the boost/gametime/bonus extras generally wont be available till the transaction processes. And you will see it pending on your bank for anywhere up to 7 business days depending on how quickly your bank finalises the sale in the back end.

yeah my bad. I came in with the wrong expectation. My buddies and I recently got into it and all figured we be playing the boosted characters together. Thanks everyone.

Next time if you want instant upgrade then buy the game from a real store like walmart. If you buy online you will always have the wait due to gold spammers and other fraudsters.

Yes the key inside a real game box is instant upgrade with zero wait.

I would just note that some people who bought Shadowlands from retailers had their keys revoked and had to chase the retailer for refunds.
