I hope Tyralyon takes the throne

Illidan didn’t need to kill that naaru.

  1. He was strong enough to break free, killing her was redundant. Look up excessive force.
  2. Illidan killed his allies’ leader while surrounded by enemies. Can you see why that’d a bad idea?
  3. Illidan is part demon. He’s almost as destructive as most of the Legion’s demons and using the same dark magic. Forceful or not, that naaru Xe’ra had a valid point about the dangers of Fel and Void.

Add more factions? RIP Alliance.

What are any of you basing this on? It looked like the Naaru was turning him into a Zealot. And you want illidan to go “Oh, no thanks, I’m happy with the Fel thanks!”

What planet do you people live on.

Tyralyon is extremely loyal to the light, and ligtforged. The only reason he seems cool now is because he’s home, his leader gone, and removed from the light scene. Should some light fueled army like yrel come back he’s gonna fall right back into old habits and side with yrel.

It’s kinda like a addict or some bad friends, you make questionable decisions when with, but without you mellow out a bit start acting like your old self, but reintroduce the bad influence your back on the wagon.

As part of the army of light he let a naru lock up his wife for what 100 years? Blindly loyal and quick to draw his blade.

Home calmer more focused on what his life was before the army of the light.

Reintroduce a army of light and guess what happens with him

There was a void practitioner in the same room. I think if Illidan simply broke free of his binds X’era would have no choice but to listen at least until the Legion was defeated as that would be the priority.

He’d oppose the tyrrany of an AU Yrel and Xe’ra, get Lightbound, and get off’d as a raid boss later, a tragic end to an otherwise heroic figure who had learned that zealotry is the danger of the Light, and not a worthwhile ambition.

!!!

“I’m going to mind control you”

“No”

“oh alright then”

I don’t care how big the majority is, you people are out of touch.

So Turaylon telling Xe’ra not to kill Alleria and persuading her to compromise means he’s a zealot? Hell, the fact that Xe’ra compromised makes me question whether that naaru was a zealot herself.

Better that Illidan stay a loose cannon fel junkie? You’re assuming he’d go zealous if he was successfully lightforged. Sure you can say he can break free, but there’s a difference between breaking free and edgelording someone to death (all Illidan was missing in that cinematic was a katana and a fedora; I’d say he was missing the line “nothing personal, kid” but everything else he said makes up for it).

I don’t know what that means.

She was just trying to do her job like or not to be honest. Her end goal was to help the light become the dominate force in the universe, not be nice and say: “yo mind helping me conquer the universe pretty please?”. I was actually a bit sad she went away so fast.

And Blizzard tried to have their cake and eat it too by making MU Xe’ra a jobber for Illidan and villain-batting an AU version (talk about desperate).

Turalyon respected but was able to disagree with MU Xe’ra, I don’t think he’s going to fall in lockstep with AU Xe’ra even if she’s everything certain fans claim she’ll be.

“We were only following orders”

At first I thought it read “I hope Trayvon takes the throne.”.

I mean, literally all the cosmic forces are guilty of the same thing. It’s a cosmic war it’s not supposed to be pretty.

I’m asking if you think it’s a valid excuse though. Our own history, and morality has said it isn’t.

In this fantasy world there likely won’t be a Haugue to go to. But if people are telling me “Well, Illidan could have declined the invitation to be abducted by a cult” I’m saying, I don’t think that’s a valid reason based on just being alive and working with humans.

Oh, boy, I think they will manage to do a whole expansion around that

We just want a mechanic to change, but someone out there will make it a lot bigger than it needs to be.

Yup. From X’era’s perspective, Illidan is supposedly could’ve been a key figure for the army of light so of course she’s going to try and “recruit” him by any means necessary. And the motivation behind it is completely understandable, you lose the cosmic war against the void, fel, death even life all your worlds and people will cease to exist. Committing a few crimes against humanity is better than everything you care about being eradicated.

Right, from her perspective. I’m asking if you think Illidan should have killed her.

Everyone’s acting as if:

  1. Illidan didn’t need to kill her
  2. Turalyon is justified in his reaction

If my sister was about to kill someone, and in response the victim killed her, I wouldn’t immediately be like “Why tf would you do that?!”

There should be a shakeup but more along those who support Turalyon staying in leadership because they’ve lost faith/reasons in Anduin being a capable leader and those who still support Anduin and think he can still become that capable leader.

You know, I’m glad we had this discussion, because I’ve been looking for a tank alt and I have never been able to settle on one…I’m making a Demon Hunter.
