See boss die in less than a minute in a sea of lag (pray you get boss tag)
Wait 1h or farm random mobs that drop 1 single unit of a currency you need 5k to buy something with
Repeat this process for a whole month…
Yeah no thanks, i’m not gonna unsub (still farming mogs and mounts on Remix) but this doesn’t give me much hope, or hype, or anything at all to get excited about the new expansion…
I was close enough to finally convince my group of friends (or at least some of them) to FINALLY come play wow with me, but to be honest… Even i don’t know if i really wanna keep playing it after this pre-patch mess…
Scaling issues
Reputation issues/bugs in Remix Pandaria
Warbank issues (i’ve seen some people saying they LOST items in their Warbank banks wth)
Nothing to do during a WHOLE MONTH before the new xpac launches except farm mogs and mounts etc…
Metzen called us back, for this? Really? I’m not dumb, i know it was a PR stunt but even so, does it cost so much to do a (at minimum) DECENT pre-patch event? You were supposed to hype people up for the new xpac, not bore us to death lol
Whoever designed this event needs to stop and think “did i even tried?”
This was my exact feeling. I was hyped for new expansion with the boys, we all quit dragon flight season 1-2. We all lasted about 20 mins in this event. Killed all the hype, some not even interested in TWW anymore.
Like not only did the throw water in the fire my god they dumped an ocean on it with this event.
And the core issue is the wait time which if ppl just collectively request like “hey can you speed up the timeline that would be nice?” or possibly have like multiple zones active in 10 min staggers, then it could potentially work, but bunch of ppl are throwing tantrums
Yuh lol like I don’t care was aware of the times already and was completely unshocked know how game companies work about artificially bumping up playtime. Like the event is lame yes but omg it is NOWHERE as bad as Primal Storm that event was bug ridden and completely unpredictable still remember people complaining cause they couldn’t get certain storms.
The 90 minutes between bosses (which die within seconds) is what gets me. I wasn’t a fan of the “schedule your play time” events where you had to be there at specific times or miss out, but this pre-patch event is a step up from that. You can’t even be five minutes late.
Unlike for the devs, this game isn’t a job for most of us, and having to set my alarm to not miss out on content is awful in a video game (one that I pay for).
you fly over a location, spank a random boss (which should die in less than a minute) then just go back to alt tab waiting for the next boss to apear…wheres the game?? its so crazy that its beyond my understanding
how difficult would it have been if they added world quests ,objectives, bosses and puzzles in the map, with all zones active at the same time, no waiting, just go there and play the game, but no, what they did is just crazy, I couldn’t have thought of anything worse than this
Idk it’s just kinda weird to see the amnesia with these things and how the exact same patterns play out. Like I still remember how every little thing would result in Metzen getting blamed and insulted, and here we are 10 years later it’s happening again
And the fact that people defend this non-gameplay is even more astounding. There isn’t anything to do. It would be like if Olive Garden came out and gave you a single breadstick for your whole table every 30 minutes, and that’s it. No meal, just a lone breadstick.
i’m not insulting Metzen, i love the guy, i’m talking about something that he literally said/did/promised, it’s not a random complaint directed at him like most of those were back in the day lol and even tho it was a PR stunt designed by Blizzard/Microsoft is still his face/voice/words
there’s no way someone is defending this event, maybe some dev hiding behind his personal account but that’s it, no sane person would defend this event
If you are going to lie and misrepresent what folks have said, at least make it harder than to merely just check the latest blue posts… No, they simply said that how they envisioned players playing the pre-patch would be different from how they designed it, and thus’ folks felt like they had to “funnel” their currency.
