It’s time we realise that the best way to stop this practice from happening is to STOP DOING THE CONTENT.
This prepatch is completely unnecessary, even for fresh 50 characters. Just don’t do it. Don’t sit there for 20 minutes a rare and farm them. Don’t do the quests. Don’t do the event.
Stop reinforcing the behavior. You don’t HAVE to do it. You will get gear from quests, and the mobs all scale as you level regardless. If they make bad content and you don’t have to do it, don’t do it. This is, by far, the best content to skip from a “meaningful” point of view; it lasts ~20 days and the gear will be replaced in the next 2 days after that.
Don’t worry man. You’ll have your wish fulfilled. People wont be entitled for much longer. Soon their realize there is no reason to stick around and continue paying for a game they aren’t happy for. And this will continue on as Blizzard continues choosing the path they took.
Its not like we live in a world where supply and demand takes place. Blizzard supplies a game that the people want and the people pay money for Blizzard to supply that demand. But of course this entitlement means we are unhappy, meaning we are either going to or consider to stop giving blizzard money.
Eventually with activision in charge Blizzard will have to stop putting money into the game to find a new outlet for profit. Because Activision doesn’t care about its community or the people who pay. So yes, please continue supporting Blizzards poor quality choices which will make the game you love die faster. Also you’re helping by being toxic and rude to people because thats another great way of pushing paying customers away.
There is a diff between being entitled and wanting what we pay for in this game. We not only buy expansions for content, but pay 15 dollars a month every month we play in order for them to deliver content.
A pre patch event is a one of a time event that last 2 weeks to a month that we never get to do again, and you are saying players are entitled for wanting more than 2 daily quest a day and a weekly boss that drops 115 ilvl gear?
Love how that was the only thing you could nit pick to prove me wrong. Let me clarify that Activision has left Blizzard alone to make its own choices in terms of quality and profitis up until Activision fully inherited Blizzard. When the logo changed from Blizzard to Activision Blizzard thats when it all went down hill. So yes, what is the next thing?
BFA is over and has been for a while now. We paid for Shadowlands which is supposed to come with a pre patch event. The event in question was basically gutted and all we are left with are a couple dailies. I think people can be mad about it but of course you can agree to disagree.
You get over yourself. This content is not up to the standard that people expect from Blizzard. That is not entitlement. If you pay for a ferrari and get a ferrari 9/10 times, it’s not entitled to complain the time you get a golf-cart.
Not only is this content not engaging, but it is also designed to make sure the player stays logged into the game as long as possible while doing absolutely nothing to make that time enjoyable. This is exploitation of the player, and incredibly disrespectful. There was no reason to make rare spawns take as long as they did, it’s not the pattern they’ve followed on the last few iterations of what this content is.
It’s fine if the content was low-effort and only small; not everything has to be amazing and huge. It’s not fine that it’s low-effort and small, AND made to take as long as possible. That’s not ok. It is disrespectful to players.
The fact you’re entitled to your own opinion while dismissing others is the embodiment of entitlement. So you being entitled that only your opinion matters while no one elses matters and then calling people entitled for being upset is you being a hypocrite. Also the whole “next” thing really makes you sound a lot more ignorant and hateful.
