I hope management is happy, players are not

Saying something doesn’t make it true. It is not entitlement as a paying customer to expect a baseline level of service, and not to be taken for granted.

Go for it, nothing I said was against the code of conduct.

Imagine trying to threaten someone with a flag…

Tons of players were complaining prior to the pre-patch to NOT do it like the past because it was inconvenient for them.

Another example why Blizzard should never listen to a player base that never agrees.

I killed Nathanos and got a weapon. Good enough for me but I didn’t even try for ice crown.

At this point it’s more like 12 days than 20, but yes.

It does give you an advantage for your fresh 50 alts over their questing greens at ilvl~50, and will make the first few hours of SL easier – that is, in your fresh alt 50s ilvl 50 gear, you will have a hard time at first in SL for the first few hours until you get new quest greens of higher iLvl from the quests there. But that’s it, then you’re “caught up”, and you’re fine.

The question for players, with respect to their fresh ilvl 50 alts is whether they would prefer to do this boring and repetitive content to make the beginning of SL easier, or whether they would prefer to have a harder time for a few hours at the beginning of SL and leave this content aside for now.

For any other players, that is toons that are geared already, the only point of doing this is for collectibles and mogs, and if you are motivated by that, then by all means do your thing.

It’s entitlement to expect Blizzard to release some perfect pre-patch when they are delaying an expansion due to a global pandemic, and wild fires near their offices.

your posts are inappropriate and bullying. By telling other people to stop being entitled and telling them they dont matter will surely not gain you any brownie points with the mods.

No they aren’t.

I think it’s important to see both sides.

I really enjoy the new content and I like how even the sky has changed to give us a creeping feeling of the sky above us.

I do see a bit of bad relationship signs with some people here - they hate almost everything that comes out. I agree that maybe the ‘rares’ could be more accessible but there are better ways to word it than making it as though the company is scheming against you by giving you content.

Overall just love, be nice and have fun.

hmm sounds like not a single soul here agrees with you on this thread. If anything every person who replied to you has disagreed with you. If everyone says you’re wrong it must be so.

Honestly, Shadowlands is just a regurgitated version of BFA. Instead of Azerite we now have something else to take its place. Put on top of that an unnecessary over complicated additional talent system. Lots of time gates etc. I thought the Prepatch would do it justice… Nope. Cant wait for Diablo 4 so I can get away from this hot mess lol.

People will complain about anything. Blizzard could give them free gold and they’d find a reason they should have gotten more.

They’re 20min fixed spawns. It’s the most accessible it’s even been tbh (due to the predictability). Just time-gated and not really worth the reward but that’s just my personal opinion.

I agree with his core point in regard to the attitude presented in the OP.

But I agree with the proposition in question that is presented in the OP.

I’m with you - i made three characters after prepatch and they’re all above 100.

With that said we have a LOT of new players that joined us and this new event is like gear rain for them so we’re helping them complete and it’s so nice to see how happy they get working towards that gear set.

I don’t need people to agree with. If you think a tiny vacuum of the entirety of a player-base speaks for everyone then that is on you.

Nobody expects them to release a perfect pre-patch. In the exact post that you quoted to call me entitled, I specifically said “It’s fine if the content was low-effort and only small; not everything has to be amazing and huge. It’s not fine that it’s low-effort and small, AND made to take as long as possible. That’s not ok. It is disrespectful to players.”

The fact that the content is limited in scope is fine. The thing that makes this not acceptable is the milking of player time without the effort behind the content. They took something they knew would not be engaging, and made it take longer by increasing spawn times by a factor of about 4 compared with every similar event structure in the past 2 expansion cycles. There is absolutely no reason for rare spawns to have spawn timers as long as they do. It is disrespectful to players, and exploitative.

The op of this post did.

I remember at Blizzcon that they said the scourge will be everywhere. Not just contained in icecrown. I remember our capital cities being attacked and us having to defend them. Not i would ever see a single hostile in the entire zone. I remember the prepatch leading up right before we take the jump into the maw. There is nothing closely related to that yet. Every promise has been broken.

I would be okay with what we got but the twenty minute timers are insane. They give the global yell then a two minute grace period to get there. Five minute base timers would be fine.

Timers are a tad too long, would be neat if killing mobs progressed the timer to lower them.
