I heckin miss Shadowlands

I liked the zones on first playthrough. Except bastion, my god that place was boring. Every other place felt awesome, but they got boring overtime. I’m not quite bored of dragon isles though, but we still got time on the expac.

I do not miss shadowlands tho, only for some nostalgic moments at best maybe.

I hated every single one of them.

I miss Sire Denathrius.

I sent him a fan girl letter but he never wrote back :frowning:

Hope we see him again soon :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

the best, and only good part of shadow lands was indeed as above mentions was Sire Denathrius.

Nothing about shadowlands was amazing, it was all the same thing the afterlife was no different then life at all. shadowlands should have been this crazy, mystical place filled with mystery, the place after life, a realm of death unseen. A realm SO CRAZY Odin, a being of massive pride and ego have his OWN EYE just to PEEK inside of it.

But here was go LOLing all over the place like its no different then barrens. Whatever OP is on, I want some because shadow lands was the worst thing ever.

I really like Rev and Maldraxxus, I love the entrance you made into Maldraxxus when you first get there. It was really cool

Do you miss Shadowlands or do you miss parts of Shadowlands. I can say that I miss parts from every previous expansion though if I had to replay one it would probably be Legion.

I don’t miss the Oribos airport :dracthyr_a1:
But at least some of the zones and Sire Denathrius were nice to look at.

You can go do stuff in those zones right now.

Oh dear…

I liked Revendreth but that was an outlier. Also, it would have been far better if it was on Azeroth and was a land controlled by San’layn.

Also still waiting on San’layn allied race blizz!

I loved all the Shadowlands zones (yes, even the Maw, although I would’ve liked the rares to be toned down a bit at first, but that might just be a skill issue) and a lot of the recurring background characters like Niya, Theotar, or Sika. I mean, who do we have in DF that’s even close to that good? Tomul? :dracthyr_crylaugh:

I legit loved the aesthetic of the Venthyr. Their hub had good music too.

I can’t speak to the systems because or game-play because I skipped Shadow Lands. Narratively, the only real problem with Shadow Lands and it’s story is that they put it in World of Warcraft. It’s pretty clear they wanted to do something drastically different, and maybe it needed to be its own IP.

On its own, in a vacuum, it’s fine. If they wanted to make something new maybe they shouldn’t have grafted it onto a 20 year old game.

I certainly don’t. I hated Oribos interdimensional airport and how disconnected every zone felt in that expansion, it felt like I was playing a knock off WoW game.

Zones were nice and immersive. Especially the Venthyr.
Some of my favourite armor sets were introduced in this expansion.
Systems were meh.
Hard to bash the story when Dragonflight turned out so much worse.

If the expansion was NOT gutted and delayed with several content droughts and no news on what is to come, then it would’ve been a great xpac.

Most of the fallout from it all came from when we got massive content droughts, TWICE, and Blizzard didn’t tell us when anything new was coming. It was awful, and it made us all realize how bad of a character the Jailer was, since they told us nothing about him unless you bought the Sylvanas book, and even that didn’t give you much.

Ah, the Shadowlands, a realm of eerie beauty and dark charm! Thou dost wax nostalgic for these lands, and verily, I share thy sentiment. The expansion, for all its quirks and quandaries, didst indeed bestow upon us realms rich in character and lore.

Revendreth, with its gothic splendor and the enigmatic Venthyr, didst capture many a heart, mine own included. 'Twas a land where each shadow whispered secrets, and every corner held a story untold. We ventured into this domain, wary of the whispers of death, yet emerged with eyes alight, hearts yearning for yet more mysteries to unfold.

Such is the allure of these lands, where even the most hesitant of souls find themselves ensnared in the web of its intrigue. Shadowlands, thou art missed, like a haunting melody that lingers long after the song has ended.

ew… No… lol. gross. They were phoned in. Vampires, really? That’s what you want in your WoW game? Lol.

How a zone looks can make or break a zone for me, it just so happens that not only was the SL questing mind-numbing, the zone appearances were, too.
