GOODBYE ZOOMER! Classic WoW is just too intense for you. I suggest playing something like RUST for a bit to put some hair on your chest and then maybe you’ll be weathered enough to come back to this game. If you can’t deal with the stress an oldschool MMO brings then you have no business in this genre and had no idea what you were getting into.
You think this is bad? This was the carebear game of it’s time. Try EverQuest. Try Ultima Online, try any of the games that game right before WoW’s inception. You really just quite simply didn’t know what you were getting into and your ignorance doesn’t make this game bad, it just means you’re a coddled zoomer gamer.
And it makes sense too because retail is launching a big content patch in january. They needed to give people something to do until February when BWL cames out.
I don’t think it’s far from the truth. Players asked for classic servers, not progression servers. They are two entirely different experiences. To make matters even worse is that there is no confirmed cycle for content release - it’s just “when they feel like it”. They are very haphazardly going their way about it, which either makes them incompetent, or they really are trying to steer people away from classic in favor of retail to prove a point. I would lean more towards incompetence, personally. They’ve proven that so many times, especially within the last few years, that it’s definitely not the company that it used to be. That, more than anything, makes me think they could easily be vindictive about it, too, which is where the guy you replied to is leaning.
Too bad they pushed phase 2 months ahead too. That is my issue. I was on the home stretch of hitting 60 and then this went out and in the past 5 days I have got maybe…5 bars on my rogue. I log in knowing no matter where I go I am going to be camped so I just quit. I have better things to do with my time other than just running back and forth as a ghost in burning steppes and searing gorge. Getting to BRD is bad enough when you have multiple rogues hiding in the rock area and letting horde know when alliance are coming and they come pouring out of the instance to kill you. And if you kill them, NO HONOR debuff.
I signed up to kill or be killed in game, I didn’t sign up for whatever this has turned into.
You do not know what people are doing plus by all rights we had no reason to expect Phase 2 would be pushed out quicker. We were going by what we knew of the phase time lines so some of us werent in a hurry. I, personally, rerolled from one server to another and rerolled classes as well once I got so far on this paladin because of group needs, knowing that we had time or so we thought.
Quit being asinine. Quit acting as if your experience equals that of others. We all play the game how we can. This was not the casuals fault that they pushed content quicker than it was believed to be coming.
Actually, you are completely wrong. Sure, there will be a few mouthbreathers like you who gank for the sake of making life as miserable for ppl as possible, but the bulk of the ganking will be gone. Enjoy it while you can, because solo-ganking has consequences.
I’ve noticed that classic WoW tends to Bring on abject denial of just how much time you spend playing it. It sure did for me back in vanilla days.
If you hit 60 in the first month, I’m afraid you played an ABSOLUTE MINIMUM of 3 hours a day on average every. Single. Day. If you played less than that on any days, you made up for it by playing more other days. And almost certainly FAR more than that - 4 or 5 hours or more.
