How do I open classic WOW on a Mac?

I have a retail subscription and I’m trying to open Classic WOW on my Mac but cannot figure this out - need help please. In my WOW files on the Mac there is a “launcher db” file but when I try to open that I get error “The application World of Warcraft can’t be opened”.
