Is mage boosting not allowed all of a sudden am i missing out on something???
Will my ban appeal even work?
I have seen mages boost for the past 4 years on classic wow, this lead me to create my own mage and try running people through RFC which helped me gather gold for my other chars.
I was apparently banned for “use of unauthorized cheat programs” which I didn’t even know existed for wow XD, this is such a big joke and I just want my account back man…
If the reason that you were given was that you were banned for the use of unauthorized cheat programs, you running boosts for gold had nothing to do with it.
Do you run any programs like autohotkey or ISBoxer that help with running multiple instances of WoW? Any software that passes through commands to other windows at all? Do you have any macros set up on your keyboard or mouse that assign more than one keypress to one ability in one window?
All you can do is apeal. Nothing will be done via forums maybe some clarification in the morning but it wont get unbanned by posting here.
The only thing I have externally is the a razor program macro that right clicks fast for me and is togglable so when I’m looting I can get it done with quickly during pulls is that permabannable? Is that what I should state for in my appeal?
Anything that can and does spam a key for you, even if it’s built in to your keyboard or mouse, even if it doesn’t spam an attack ability but is only used for looting, is considered automation.
It’s just speculation on my part that that’s what it’s about, but it sounds like a solid theory. I’m not sure how appeals tend to go once a potential cause of the issue is identified and someone promises to knock it off, but it’s probably worth a mention in your appeal.
That sounds an awful lot like automation. Yes, automation is absolutely ban-worthy.
The appeal isn’t a venue in which you plead your case or present evidence. It’s just a fresh set of eyes looking at Blizzard’s logs and data to see if a mistake was made. In this specific case, it doesn’t sound like a mistake was made. You’re free to keep appealing, though, until they tell you that no further appeals will be entertained.
If you still have appeals then yes you should. Tell them you did not know you where breaking the rules and your deleting the macro from your mouse.
Worst they can do is uphold the ban, best case is change it to a suspension. Either way your taking a hit.
If upheld you can open a new license and start again with out the macro.
That is absolutely automation/botting and is absolutely ban worthy. You don’t usually even get a warning for that, it’s one of the most severe violations of the rules you can do. I can guarantee with about 99% certainty that if you were doing that it will be upheld.
I would not expect any leniency or second chances for something like that.
Yes of course it is ban worthy! Of course the OP has nothing to loose by coming clean and asking for leniency, worst they can do is uphold it and leave it as a ban. Nothing to loose.
In retail you have to know and follow the rules.
This includes where to advertise now. Spam is also not allowed.
