I have been permanently banned from a game that I am so passionate about since the last ten years. I have never been issued a single warning or silence in this last ten years. I have always been good at making gold by using professions. But in TWW, i have become a expert in gold making using my army of alts to specialize in one talent at once and earning tons of gold using enchanting and tailoring (6 to 7 min in just one month). Then I did a blunder of buying around 25 -30 tokens within a span of 5 days and I woke up one morning with a ban that I purchased gold! I havenât send or received a single gold coin and all you have to do is check my email history. My ticket got closed with the same text as the ban without any explanation on why it happened. I raised another ticket. Can anyone here help with what I can do further. This game is very important to me
Edit : Some more points
I did not store even one Wow token in inventory! I used them for blizz balance and game time. I would buy 5 at a time and use them. I am trying to figure out what I have done wrong. If i did do something wrong I would be at peace that âIâ screwed it up. I am not trying to blame anyone here.
I did not trade with anyone directly. Used auction house to sell enchants using concentration across multiple chars, enchanting and tailoring materials and bags.
I have already asked the GM to tell me if I screwed up somewhere and that I will accept their action. But I have been getting generic replies. I have asked if temporary ban is possible as well since I did not receive a single silence or warning in 10 years of playing this game. I hope you guys understand why this game is important to me. I do not have any energy to build an account from scratch . This would be the end of the road for wow and me
UPDATE : The ban was overturned.

Appeal and keep appealing until you are told no more appeals.
ALso keep in mind, the rules infraction that lead to the account action could have happened weeks ago.
So youâre selling?
Where did the gold that the buyers use come from?
It would be doubtful that simply buying the tokens would result in a ban but it sounds like youâve received âdirtyâ gold from one or more sources, either wittingly or unwittingly.
THis forum isnât to debate, not discuss account action (itâs against forum rules). All you can do is appeal until they say no more and warning you of GM harassment.
You may use the in-game Shop to purchase a maximum of 20 Tokens per week.
Your Battle.net Account can only have one type of Token and:
a maximum of 20 Tokens purchased with money in your inventory at one time.
a maximum of 10 Tokens purchased with gold in your inventory at one time.
This is why the forums doesnât allow random guessing at whatâs the trigger, folks will grab at any straws they can and spread that around as if it was a fact.
I deleted my comment as I didnât realise. Itâs just hard to work out why this has happened. There seems to be so many people in the same position. If he had done something wrong he would just own it and accept it. So we just assumed the purchase of many tokens is maybe what flagged him. Just wish it could be fixed easier itâs not even my account and Iâm struggling to sleep Iâm so stressed for him.
Iâm not saying one way or the other for the OP, or yourself, but man this is probably one of the funniest things Iâve read today.
In real life people arenât usually the most honest of folks, but ambiguity and âvictimlessâ misdeeds online and all the restraints are lifted. It is VERY VERY rare for someone to own up to their actions.
I can almost guarantee that this isnât even remotely what you were banned for, OP. Weâll just have to wait for a blue to tell us the real reason, I guess.
Thatâs a good question. One on one sales can be suspicious, especially if itâs a known gold seller. But often itâs a player who bought gold for real money and you are an unwitting accomplice to the violation. Even if you werenât aware of the nature of the buyerâs source of gold, you can still be hit with a ban.
If youâre using the AH, thatâs a bit trickier. Thereâs no way for you to know whoâs buying the product, let alone where their gold came from. But frequently, AH flags people selling junk items for ridiculous prices as a means to funnel them gold that was purchased for real money outside the game. But if a player uses illegally acquired gold to purchase a listed product from the AH, itâd be awfully hard to blame the seller for that.
I made gold from the auction house by selling enchants, Tailoring bags and materials. I havenât traded with anyone directly. I have not directly sent or received any gold
Keep in mind what you are doing currently doesnât always relate to what you were doing that caused action upon your account. Sure buying that many tokens is something most would considerâŠexcessive, but it could very well have nothing to do with your ban.
All you can do is send appeal tickets until they say they will no longer look at appeals.
UPDATE : The ban was overturned! So before saying that all banned players must have done something wrong, please give them some benefit of doubt

No one said that. The forums isnât a means to try to gather support of try to get folks to believe someone. This forum is for information and to point people in the right area. This form isnât a place to appeal an account action.
We tend to not do that here, I know that General is like that though, here we simply point out that posting on the forums is not the correct place to get help directly. One of the big reasons why Blizzard frowns on posts about account actions like this is because they tend to devolve into a back and forth about who was cheating and who wasnât.
They are more lenient about these posts here on the CS Forum if they are simply asking about how to appeal or have other questions about the process. If a thread does start to dissolve into a back and forth about innocence or anything like that, they tend to get locked pretty fast.
Happy to hear it was an error. To err is human as they say, and even the most diligent can slip up. Itâs thankfully uncommon but thatâs what appeals are for, so someone can double and triple check.
Although Iâd recommend next time maybe chilling a bit with the Token purchases next time.
Oh come on Pooh! You left out âSOUNDS LIKEâ from what you quoted from me. If youâre going to quote me, please quote the whole part because it makes a difference.
Another game i have my account was banned for almost 2 months. Took them that long to review things and see a security thing was tripped and banned the account. Not all companies are so fast and some wont even check.
