You haven’t touched the game since 15’ and you are “taking your time”
 that’s really good I’m not being facetious it just doesn’t seem like you’ll get into end game at a min/max level.

Of course you’ll just reply with a “Nuhuh” so I’ll just reemphasize for others: you like casually running around and having lots of different but meaningless content to tackle you’ll have fun and with the new EULA anyone who wants it will have a very safe space, so safe people can’t even give you advice on how to play or leave a dungeon on you when your hot garbage.

if you like raiding pass on it, simple.

EDIT: Another thing that’s more of a personal gripe about FFXIV is it looks like the new races for shadowbringers will be gender locked. Dunno about you but that’s some korean mmo tier debris

Yes, back in 2015 I kinda had far more important concerns, as for what “it seems like”, again thats supposition backed up by zero facts.

I played FFXIV. It’s hot garbage. Watching paint dry is more entertaining than the combat, which manages to be flashy and dull to the point of tears at the same time. The storyline is generic and uninspiring. Pretty much having to spam Main Quest Line quests to the exclusion of all else is stupid ( even more fun, you have to complete the MQL to move on to the next expansion, oh boy) Watching endless cutscenes for every mundane task ( and there are alot) is tedious. The only props I can give the game is it’s environments and environmental effects are well done. Other than that, the game is a crashing bore.

No, they’ve said that there will be male Viera, they simply haven’t shown the model yet (despite the fact that the Viera race is canonically entirely female). None of the new jobs are race or gender locked.

I’m happy for all you people who’ve tried and are enjoying FFXIV, but I really can’t get into the world


The entire reason I got into WoW was playing the RTS and getting invested in that setting. I never played much Final Fantasy, so I don’t have nearly the same connection with that game as I do this one. I’d be really sad to see it turn into a mere moneymaking machine, but I feel like it’s already going very well in that direction.

Like completing Loremaster? Which I have done in every expac? I LOOK FORWARD to it.

the current BFA one? More orcs and humans? More of this hackneyed and overdone race war and faction war?

Other than that, the game is a crashing bore.

I think I will reserve my own judgement.

I don’t see why you can’t. Those things are not prohibited.

You’re not excluded from doing anything else. In fact, just doing the MSQ can get you stuck until you gain more exp to level up. But, yes, there is a continuity in the story that connects every expansion together and provides a reason for why your characters are doing many of the things they’re doing. It is the same thing in WoW, I would assume, even if WoW may not enforce its continuity via the character’s progression.

You don’t have to complete Loremaster to move from old content to new. You don’t even need to complete Loremaster at all. You have to complete each expansion’s MQL in FFXIV, or you won’t be able to move on to the next expansion.

The current BFA story is lame, yes. But the overall storyline of WoW isn’t. That’s not the case with FFXIV. It’s just boring cutscene after boring cutscene.

Actually that reads to me as “dont try and force others into your playstyle because you think yours is better”.

Seems fine to me
encourages individual playstyles and initiative. Moves away from the “play this meta or else” mentality.

I dont see a problem here.

This means obstructing another person’s game play by intentionally leaving the game or disconnecting from the server.

Again, doing that should be discouraged. I dont see an issue here either.

If you are just messing around you wont care, want to get things done though enjoy carrying a lot of dead weight and not being able to say a peep.

I’m sure you are a calm dude, but a level 70 DRG using only full thrust is going to break anyone.
