For something with (slightly) more substance: I’m sorry that the game is incongruent with your preferred lifestyle/daily habits, truly. I’ve found that playing old world content, or low-stress activities in-game makes my seemingly limited time to play more engaging for me.

SE started two new servers for new arrivals. Those servers have been locked for a week or more. What do I mean by locked?
FULL. No new members, no new signups. They are now, I hear, making plans for more.

I’m all for liking a game and missing what you used to love about it. But some of your lamentations are a bit over the top. WoW isnt your lover or a boyfriend/girlfriend or any other significant other… Its just a game.
“Abuse”, “safe place”, “despair in our hearts” ?
Good luck in FF, I hope you dont become obsessed over that game and make it into something that it isnt like you did with WoW.
I understand these are just my opinions. But when I see this kind of post I just feel something is wrong. Its like when you hear a story on the radio about someone marrying a car.

Did you play the same game I’ve been playing? Because in the FFXIV I’ve been playing for the past 4 years, I’ve seen more lore actually in the game than I’ve seen in WoW in twice that time.

That is beautifully put, Mr. Bones.
In FFXIV I can take an extended break from the game for weeks at a time and not feel punished at all. With a free company (guild/community) waiting for me, “where you’ve been, gurrllll? XD”.
