I have all three artifact weapons for my hunter class but only 1 transmog (For the gun) is unlocked. How exactly do I unlock the others? I’ve even changed specs and equipped them and they still aren’t unlocking.
The only ones you can’t get now are the Mage Tower ones, unless you got the base Mage tower appearance before it was removed.

So does this mean it’s a bug that I haven’t unlocked them? And if so how do I go about getting it fixed?
Have you done the things required by your character to open them?

So are you saying that even though I have them and can equip them and finished their quests, there may be more hidden things I need to do to unlock the transmog for them? I’m baffled why they’d be any different than unlocking any other transmog in the game or why I already have one unlocked that I completed the quests for.
The artifacts come with a base appearance, but additional appearances can be unlocked for them.
You don’t gain those additional appearances without first unlocking them.

My post isn’t about the additional appearances though. It’s about the base appearances aren’t being unlocked… Literally the same version of the spear or bow that I can equip is not unlocked in the transmogs.
I understand you’ve changed specs and equipped your artifacts to unlock them, but are you in the correct spec for the transmog?
I believe the appearances are still tied to the spec.

Yes, I entered the correct spec, had the weapon equipped and it did not show up in the transmog list when I went to transmog NPC.
I want to verify you’re clicking on the weapon archetype drop-down menu? The artifacts are listed separately.
Yes, I clicked on that menu, I clicked legion artifacts menu, I even clicked through all the menus and they did not appear during this time. Only the first artifact weapon I had obtained(the gun) appears in those list, no matter what spec or weapon I have equipped.
I see. Hopefully someone else here can provide insight, but I’d consider asking around in the Hunter forum as well.
I would consider a full UI reset just in case it’s corrupted:
- Temporarily rename WTF directory
- Temporarily rename interface directory
- Delete cache directory

You need to use the transmog thingie in the Class Hall to change your artifact appearance, not a transmog vendor.

You can transmog artifact appearances at the transmog NPC.
When you use the drop down menu for weapons, Legion Artifact Appearances is an option, although only the tints unlocked for your current spec will show up.

It’s only showing the gun, and the spear and bow do not appear, not matter what spec I have active. I assume this is a bug?
I do believe Rufflebottom was referring to the Artifact Forge contained within your Class Hall. That is only usable when you have the Artifact itself equipped. It is how you can view all the available appearances for an Artifact and choose to change the appearance of said Artifact via that method.
However, if you have a non-Artifact weapon equipped, then you use the normal transmog NPC to change that weapon’s appearance.

I just hopped on my Hunter. She has all 3 of the Hunter Artifacts and all but the Mage Tower & Balance of Power appearances unlocked. Below will be screenshots of each spec at the Artifact Forge & then each spec at the transmog vendor.
Hopefully, this can give you an idea of what you should be seeing when viewing your unlocked Artifact appearances.

Thank you very much. As I stated previously, only the base gun artifact shows up in transmogs, the spear and bow do not. And again I’m not speaking about alternative skins, just the base skins. I’ll try heading to that altar and see if there’s anything I’m missing as well.

Just to clarify, when you are attempting to use the Talonclaw appearance or Thas’dorah you are in the Survival or Marksman specialization respectively and have the appropriate normal weapon equipped? You’d need a polearm for Talonclaw and a ranged weapon for Thas’dorah.
I did a little testing and it does look like Titanstrike is available for your equipped bow, while you are in Beast Master spec. In Marksman Thas’dorah is available. You don’t seem to have another polearm so I couldn’t test that, but it otherwise looks to be in your collection.
It’s showing up in my appearance collection but did not show up when I was in the other specs and using a transmog vendor. I will test it again after I finish the world quests I’m on to provide more information.
