recommend some steam games guys pls
I had fun with Hades back in 2020. There’s a sequel now.
Monster Hunter
You mean you have $40 to spend on a dozen steam games you’ll never play.
I don’t really have any hidden gems, so you’ve probably already played or know of these.
Star Dew Valley
They Are Billions
Risk of Rain 2
Hades
Starbound
Binding of Isaac
Oxygen Not Included
Ori and the Blind Forest
Subnautica
Sleeping Dogs
Dead Cells
Deep Rock Galactic
Valheim
Deus Ex: Human Revolution
I’ve not really played steam in several years. My library is dated.
I was also going to recommend a bunch of other games but to my surprise they’re still $50+ even though they’re like 5-10 years old lol.
Hollow Knight; I got it on sale for $8 and got like 150 hours out of it. Silksong is going to release this year. It is so worth the money.
Ember Knights or Hades are two other good picks for the roguelite genre. I’m also playing rogue legacy 2, but it feels way too grindy by comparison.
Stardew Valley is a fun casual farming game.
Horizon Zero Dawn. I didn’t care much for the plot but the combat is way smoother than I thought it’d be based on early gameplay and thinking it’d get out of hand.
Edit: Chronotrigger. Its like a game from the early 90s and is continuously ranked up as the #1 RPG of all time.
What genre?
Does it matter? Just abuse the refund feature until you find a game you love.
It’s kind of sad that you think refunding a product is abuse lol.
But yes, steam does have a decent refund policy.
The issue is games these days take a few hours to actually get into.
Helpermonkey’s Quest for Cash
It’s a great game! Much fun! Send me pre-order money of $40 and I promise to deliver biggest fun game!
Darkest Dungeon. The first one. Not the second one. Dear God, not the second one.
Thanks Sir Pendantic. Abuse as slang can mean doing something over and over. I “abused” that button.
EB Games, now GameStop, used to have the same policy on games in the 90s. I abused the bajebus out of it.
Schedule 1 is like $20, hilarious game and kind of addicting
Devil May Cry 1-5 atm is $20
Pathfinder: Wrath of the righteous is $20, CRPG like BG3.
MH: Rise and World are both under $40, both are really good games as well.
Dark Souls: Remastered is $40, great game
Edit: Slay the Spire, Hero Siege, Reality Break and Vampire Survivors as well.
Balatro.
Slay the Spire
Red Dead Redemption 2 (its on sale!)
Rimworld
Fantastic one. Nothing like raging of that single zombie that escaped your eyesight for 5 secs and dooms your entire city.
If you like puzzles and\or philosophy you could get The Talos Principle or it’s sequel.
Ender Magnolia if you’re into Metroidvania. First game (Ender Lilies) has some relevant lore but its not a required reading situation IMO, and the 2nd game hooked me a lot more and has several QoL improvements over the first. Although both would be in the budget.
I spent about 22 hours on each for one general playthrough.
That is such a good little game and have enjoyed their updates on it.
buy gollum the video game.
Ori and the Blind Forest / Will of the Wisps
it’s great.
Vampire Survivors, with all its DLC.
