Not really, it’s only interesting combat at the last boss, and that is a coin toss on how your powers rolled. Most of every run is as interesting as soloing old raids
Sounds like a good time to buy your rank 4 and stick it in the bank till you need it.
I think the difficulty structure had to be changed because originally it was supposed to be an ‘infinite’ ascent, with the ‘required’ floors being much easier. Now there are apparently only eight levels of difficulty so they had to be scaled.
Honestly it is fun to play handi-capped or after a strong swig of something good. I like the idea and hope I never go there again.
Torghast is fantastic, it’s some comfy easy content that gives you something to progress your character weekly while actually being kinda neat and entertaining.
I don’t hate the idea of it but I do hate the execution of it.
It’s so clear that even Blizzard was aware of how infuriatingly redundant the place is that they give you a way to skip 2/3rds of the content each week.
I like Torghast. I regret that I have such a shortfall of reasons to be in there. If anything, I’d like an additional reward structure that isn’t necessarily tied to character power but gives me a reason to be in there seeing how ridiculous I can make my character with anima powers.
What is not to like? It provides similar content to what WoW provides anyway, with a different twist in the form of roguelike mechanics.
I find it hard to believe that people find Torghast boring, yet play the rest of the PvE game which is just the same, but less.
Most of the negativity I’ve heard is “this is too hard” such as OPs post.
Torghast is the best part of the expansion. Finally some solo content. Git gud scrubs.
This. If anything, I’m sad I only need to run it twice a week. I’d like to have some cosmetics or something I could farm there.
So you don’t like combat in this game?
its a pretty awful system tbh, first couple layers were okay but 3 isnt even fun, just an awful hour grind for crap rewards that go to an awful probably the worst then legion RNG legendary grind.
I like it but I wish it wasn’t so rng based
People who play DPS just need to stop treating it like solo content. Just because you CAN queue solo, doesn’t mean you should.
You really think I’d be better off going in a group as a dps? I’ve only done it duo so far with another melee dps and it was kinda crappy lol
I like Torghast–as do most of my friends.
I do not, however, like the assassins that spawn due to the affix this week.
Like come on man. I had to take my dog out and came back dead. lol
I got lucky solo. I got the anima buff that does a little bit of holy damage to attackers, and a buff that caused holy damage to have a chance of stunning enemies.
Before that, I had made 2 previous attempts 1 solo and 1 with a group. My first solo run I only picked strong DPS anima powers, but couldn’t make it through all the multi-elite packs with stealth vision. With the group, we made it to the boss after losing all of our lives and outrunning the Terragrue on floor 4, but ultimately couldn’t beat out the boss’s absorb shields then the Terragrue ended our run.
My solo run however, I picked up fewer straight damage oriented abilities and thought about how some of the generics could synergize with each other and that helped drastically.
It’s fine, what I don’t like is having to run a specific dungeon 30+ times for your memory to drop. The drop chance needs to be significantly higher.
Imagine getting mad at torghast because it’s too hard but then saying you want to do M+ and raiding.
Solid meme friend.
You were really lucky then. Rogues have it pretty tough compared to most other classes IMO. I struggled hard on Mort’regar, well sorta. It took me 3 Attempts at 179 ilvl. The first time I was being thrashed by trash and it was awful. Second time my group was being thrashed by trash and it was worse. Third time I got some pretty strong utility powers that helped. A lot.
