In my state they are illegal unless you are both licensed and have a permit for that day and location. Doesn’t stop anything though, people just drive to neighboring states and buy them there.
We just had a dog running around our backyard with a leash and collar 
me abs my brother tried getting it but it just kept running around scared.
We live on the rough part of town. My dogs always bark at the gunshots anyway. At least today I can imagine most of them are fireworks.

Not a fan of the fireworks that ppl are always tossing about…except where I live, these “lovely individuals” feel the need to fire them off on any occasion it doesn’t have to be the 4th, Memorial Day, or New Yrs…loud noises are jarring for me. It kinda sucks.
It also throws my poor kitty into a spin that lasts for days. Extremely stressful for her.
It is illegal to shoot fireworks in the city limits, but that does not stop people near me shooting them off till 3 AM in the morning. Calling the cops does little good since I’m sure they are busy with similar calls through out the city. That is the main thing I hate about July 4th.

Go to the vet, get some xanex for you dog. I gave mine a half a xanex and hes chilling at my feet.
I happen to be very proud to live in this amazing country and every day I’m just a little more proud to call America my home. I wish we could shoot off Red White and Blue fireworks every day
maybe yours. My buddy that runs the local fireworks stand manufacturers most of his stuff here in town though

I know I hate seeing my dog so scared. Last year when he was 7 months he loved them, but now he tries to hide between my legs.
Thanks to trauma if I get startled awake I have very bad panic attacks.
There’s always that ONE GUY with the really loud fireworks at 3 in the stupid morning

Sorry that is me… I generally try to sleep when everyone else is doing fireworks. And it ticks me off. So come 3 in the morning when everyone else is trying to sleep I get revenge. When people are noisy and don’t adhere to My sleeping habbits’ I return the favor in kind.

Many of our dogs in the past have been afraid of fireworks and thunder and it’s heartbreaking not being able to calm their fears easily. Fortunately the dog we have now doesn’t even wake up when loud noises go off outside. If it’s not scratches, walks or treats, she don’t have any effs to give.
They are talking about their place of origin. Not where they are sold from.

You can train them to get use to it. My dogs are a ok with it.

Yeah, my golden retriever is not doing good because of the idiots shooting and setting off fireworks. She wanted to go out, heard the booms… went back in. I live around idiots… Oh there goes another set of fire works. rolls eyes
Iirc, they can trigger PTSD in some veterans as well as others who have dealt with other traumatic events so imo they should be banned if just for that reason.

Amusingly my pet rats were more fun to watch with fireworks going outside.
So many times they’d stand on their back feet and sniffing up all “wot dat?” or running to hide in my jacket

Yeah my brother’s dog has been bouncing from room to room looking for sanctuary and my sisters’s dog is hold up under my bed hugging the walls.

We should cherish days like 4th of July because there’s idiots like CNN and their friends trying to cancel it.
