I hate browsing the internet on mobile due to the reduced privacy and security. I feel the same way about gaming on mobile. So I do neither on mobile.
To me the phone is a flashlight, map, compass, phone, camera. The rest has been ens*itified.

Thereās only 2 that I actually like. Fallout Shelter and Tacticus, the little Warhammer turn based shooter. Both of them donāt really shove bullcrap MTX and ads in your face, but they definitely have MTX.
Pay to own mobile games are aight. Unfortunately .00000000001% of all mobile games are 100% pay to own.
Nothing but money grabs. You cant progress without a debit card.
Monetization garbage aside, mobile games just kind of suck.
They HAVE to be simple for that medium.
And simple rarely lends itself to being interesting to deep dive into.
Phones are great for their portability and versatility, but if I want to game, I want to game. If I need to be portable, give me a Switch or Steam Deck so I can play actual games designed for a device that doesnāt restrict them more than necessary.
If I donāt need to be portable, lol, PC. Why would I ever play anything on a Phone when Iām at home? Console is also acceptable but itās kind of a scam these days unless you REALLY REALLY want a playstation exclusive 6 months earlier or whatever.
Yes. Itās absolutely not for me. If I want to game Iāll game on a PC or console. I have zero interest in mobile games.
It should be a prosperous innovation for the world of portable video games since Game boy.
But the problem was never the mobile games, but the gacha and gambling games system.
This lucrative system for companies got out of control to the point that we are all in a casino where we have to give more money for our goal, not just for skins.
And worse when it manipulates the RNG of the game as is happening in Monopoly GO where if it werenāt worse than the board game since 1903, it is now how they manipulate your luck and send bots so that you lose as quickly as possible if you donāt consume their items with cash.
Something similar to Ikariam where they could close your mineral and wine production islands and send you to a perma game over that would leave the game, but with the use of money, in becoming a whale.
Itās something that also happened with Diablo Immoral in the case of loots that were extremely low, and you needed a lot of money to increase that probability of success to the point of reaching millions of dollars.
In WoW we donāt resemble something that was denigrated by the community and accepted as if it were tolerable and normal thanks to the great number of world first guilds, Arenas and Mythic+ that Blizzard has been supporting.
And itās the use of GDKP, farmbots, WTS in which it made the consumption of the wowtoken the guiltys instead of the real responsible and ruined the video game experience with excessive grinding and farming instead of the experience that has to be given in the MMO.
Something that I have hated in Dragonflight is the use of the new profession system in which the metas and gear design makes it more greedy than other expansions making the game subscription not the only thing that we have to spend as players.
Consoles are for sure a scam now. I havenāt owned one since the PS2 and I pawned that for a bag of grass. They gave me 40$ for it, when it was 200$ brand new. I barely even played it, it would just sit in my closet. Everything is a scam. Except for gold and silver.
Playing any game on such a small screen is unfun in many ways. Too small. Too hard on the eyes. Just too old. Not to mention the money I would waste.
But I will admit games like Pokemon Go are (which I no longer play) are great fun on a phone.
Even Fallout Shelter is frustrating to play on that tiny of a screen. Itās laughable. Itās like trying to drag a grain of salt around.
My favorite one is Pipes which was a dollar when I got it. Itās a simple puzzle/logic game.
So a few good ones are out there but so many of them are justā¦ bad. One I tried seemed designed to force you into purchasing more and more tokens just to play the base game. Heck no.
The only game Iāve enjoyed on mobile is Albion Online, and then only as an option to play on mobile when I canāt be at my PC. Iād prob have gotten super into it if it had more PvE content.
I recommend Fallout Shelter. You can play it without being forced to buy Nuka Cola Quantum. Foe clarification, Quantum is a currency that speeds up tasks in the Vault as well as speed up return times from missions.
You can earn some Quantum through normal play, so microxactions isnāt a bad thing if youāre really hard pressed on time. I never felt like I had to buy more Quantum.
Canāt stop emm , so will have to join them .It is inevitable
expect nintendo to come at them hot and heavy.
Two strokes. Wide, fat thumbs. Retired. Canāt see that well.
While I donāt hate them, I simply canāt play them.
Too predatory and too many seeking profit over innovation.
Phones in general suck, Switch, Steam Deck, etc. are fine.
lmao.
Only mobile game I ever did was the WoW companion app. With that gone not only do I lose 8k gold a day Iām bored riding back and forth to jobsites. Probably gonna have to pick something up.
I hate the menus in mobile games. They are usually cluttered and chaotic.
Pokemon goās pretty cool
