FFXIV has a vastly better story, better mogs, and better defined mechanic tells. Wow has better gameplay and better gear progression.

People throw around “hate” a bit too much. Didnt enjoy it. Tried it myself and just couldnt get into it. Plus the 30 button combos to learn for your class kinda sucked

…Im guessing OP is malding over Fan Fest? It looked good, not enough to make me buy Dawntrail after how badly I disliked Endwalker - but the graphic update looks better than expected.
Also VFX modding in FF14 is insane and makes jobs more interesting.

They’re actually getting 3 classes. 2 full classes and a limited one (Beastmaster), that is built for solo world play, it can’t do instanced content, similar to their already existing Blue Mage.
I don’t hate it, I just can’t get into it.
Also this is the first I’m hearing about limited classes, and that sounds awful.

Blue Mages can do instanced content, just not que up for random dungeons. Or Roulettes. as we call them.
BLU can also solo raids, and not just out-of-date ones.
It is because BLU is hilariously busted that it’s an LJ. I wish it were a full job too, but BLU is wild.

I think the problem was they didn’t know how to exactly design Blue Mage while keeping to it’s core concept so Limited Job was the best they could do. Still, they do make farming for some stuff easy due to their busted nature.
You may not be aware, but the group that your guild is named after are some the absolute worst people on the planet today. The protests that they’ve started only serve to show just how horrible they are as humans that hide behind organized religion.
Yeah. I’d have maybe settled for Soulbind books as loot or PC-balanced skills being learned after observing/surviving the mechanic and winning the fight afterward but it’s kinda fun to just tank it and go ‘I can do that now, LEMME SHOW YOU.’
It’s better then what I was suggesting way back in Stormblood I wanna say. Which would have basically have just made them a shapeshifting druid. Like not only did Blue Mage learn monster skills but became a monster as well to use them.
Not one of my prouder thoughts.
Listen, Self-Destruct is the best button and I’ll not hear otherwise.
