I hate ffxiv

Even if your character was max level and geared for that content, it was behind a quest-based lock? Interesting.

Well I hate, I hate, I Hate Peter Pan.

That guy is weird. He just randomly shows up at someone’s house and takes them to an alternate dimension.

If you do your daily roulettes (daily dungeons/raids/PvP things) it’s highly likely you’ll outlevel the MSQ. And you cannot unlock content without relevant MSQ prerequisites.

They way they did professions puts WoW to shame.

Also player housing exists, and the golden saucer, and chocobo racing, and so-on.

It’s way better in respecting your time as a casual player.

They have equivalents to mage tower weapons you can still earn.

Stupid fun stuff like jumping puzzles, a photo mode for making your own ID card…

What does WoW have? Basically PvE and that’s it, PvP is neglected, and world content isn’t even worth touching after a while.

I honestly would be back there if it wasn’t for SoD, I’ve a lot of nostalgia for classic WoW and a remix of that was too good to pass up, I only wish it were MORE different.

FF14 doesn’t really have world PvP, and that’s a draw for me.

Regardless, it’s a wonderful game- Heavenward is my favorite story of all time in any game, it legit made me shed a tear.

Their storytelling also puts WoW to shame.

My understanding of FFXIV is that Jobs in that game are more comparable to WoW specs rather than an entire class and by that metric we’ve been doing pretty okay with number of new specs per expansion. We’ve added DK (+3), Monk (+3), DH (+2) and Evoker (+3) for 11 new specs over 10 expansions counting TWW. Even races have been added at a pretty good rate considering usually they get added 2 at a time and BFA just gave us a ton with all its allied races.

That’s nice, no one cares. Furries dont exist in FFXIV.

Take your creepy Sonic the Hedgehog E-RP to Moon Guard’s Goldshire, where it belongs.

Have you seen hrothgar adventure plates?

At least the ones that do exist don’t look like fursonas like Vulpera and Dracthyr.

That’s another reason why I liked it.

The catboys and bunnygirls were more human than animal, and I like that even though I played a freaking Lalafel haha.

And Hrothgar remind me of Worgen, they’re badass.

I couldn’t get passed the god awful UI ff14 has. It doesn’t matter how customisable it is. It’s still pure garbage.

Same, except for their burly cat people. Not the anime cat boy/girls. The ones that look like saberon with better posture. They’re neat looking.

It is weird that they have cat people and then added even cattier people though.

You are aware that the definition of a furry is a fan of anthropomorphic animals right…?

Furries like animals with human like characteristics like most cartoon characters. So furries exist in everything.

The saboron people in FF14 by definition of anthropomorphic is what furries would like but them and wows anthropomorphic characters are not furries

People who are fans of those things and stuff like it are furries… Furries likewise can like mostly humans with animal characteristics as well.

At least understand what is a furry and what is anthropomorphic.

It’s not for me either, I’d rather play pong than quest that much. Different strokes and all.

But yeah I’d be pretty hype for a new WoW class.

Edit: Clarification, I’m not in a hurry for a new class. We just got evoker, but if/whenever they decide to add a new one, I’ll probs be hype.

Meanwhile, I LOVE FFXIV. It is my favorite game aesthetically, if FFXIV had WoWs PvP and keys, I’d quit so fast my head would spin.

WoW would die this day, at least for me.

Been waiting for a new PvP MMORPG.

100%. The moment a new PvP mmo comes out, or my friends migrate to ff, I’m so done with WoW LOL

man I don’t know how people even like wow pvp competitively. You face Pikaboo at like 1800 mmr.

It was a lot more fun in previous years before all the casuals left, BfA and Shadowlands basically killed PvP for a while.

And yeah I played rated for a bit, hit 1800 and indeed was paired against gladiators lol.

I’m playing SoD for a reason- it’s got that causal/lowbie PvP that I crave, and I’ve got more of a fighting chance.

Retail PvP, is just too bursty and fast for my liking. I used to heal.
