Whoever mentioned above the map in Ff…yep, total shiite! Lol!!
Classes in FF are much more complex than in wow. You can do more in wow on a single class but you can never utilize a class’s full toolkit in a single fight.

Honestly one of my biggest complaint of FF. the map is just awful and unintuitive.

Ok so i clearly didn’t think you were going that obtuse with that. And what complexity in FF. Every single bard player presses all the same buttons in the exact same order. There is no specs or talents. All you need is a 5 minute youtube video and you can play the class fully lol
I mean there isnt even trinkets. There is nothing to change gameplay from one bard to the next. every single one plays it the exact same way. Its cookie cutter/ There is 0 adaptation or “your spin” on the job. Its just press these buttons in this order

So go out and use your sub-optimal talents in wow and see how far it gets you. Everybody plays cookie cutter spec/talents in wow. Well, that is if you’re doing any kind of pushing of content.
I am 7/10 mythic on my main Monk, i swap talents throughout sod at least 3 times between bosses lol
And for just me, it seems, the night/day thing is too quick. I don’t mind getting to see night sky, but man, my poor depressive state needs light! And dying through Korthia with gear of 212 on my main bmhunter. Where the gear is I don’t know! Lol Either way I’m fudged!
I started gearing this guy this week. I hit 220 this morning. Now i am privileged that i have a solid guild behind me who took me to some heroic kills on sunday, so i am not sure which advice i can give you without knowing your situation or play style.
There are single target/aoe/cleave builds. So there’s at least some variety depending on what fight you’re going into.
Not only that but unless your progging mythic i have never seen a raid lead ever question someones talents lol Do your job and solid dps and you can play whatever the heck you want. I mean we have a survivial hunter progging with us, reading these forums people would have you believe that there is no way a survival hunter would ever get deep into mythic prog

I think ffxiv is fine. There are aspects that I don’t like about it like for example Asian inspired graphics and style(gives me terrible f2p vibes). It also feels a bit linear and how the zones etc are structured. Never been a fan of loading between areas. This is where WoW really shines. I can go from Winterspring to Tanaris without any loading. That’s how a mmo should be like.

Yes, for as much as WOW is memed as an instance MMO i find that funny coming from FF players.
I get people want to talk about games they like but they target different demographics. If you’re liking the game go to the ff14 forums since they probably share your interest.
