Because I was playing with a Warrior who cut through the BS and got the concept of the season. “Get pumpers” and he didn’t mince words about classes that didn’t cut it. Spriest? No. Mage? No.
It’s odd to me that as much as I like PVP, that never really came up in the videos or comments I watched. If someone had said “This is an insta-kill meta. Only get classes that can do that such as X, Y, and Z.” I think it would have sunk in.
I’m mentioning this because up until yesterday I thought I sucked at PVP. And this very basic concept was likely the reason. Playing against meta for points if you have to isn’t great. But man, how long I sat there thinking “I’m just not great at Arena” when I really was overly focused on what I should be doing, rather than team comp.
Hoping this helps others out there who might not feel they’re great. Focus on team comp and positioning some weekend and see if your conditions improve.
So you’re saying you just now learned what meta meant in pvp and had to make a post about it? Also any spec can easily clear 2k. You are undergeared for pvp, has nothing to do with comp.
maybe in 3s where you can get carried by an overpowered DPS or healer, but not in 2s where the true balance of PvP is shown… in 3s try playing warlock demonhunter healer, see how far u get lol. This game is not about individual skill anymore, its just pick meta classes and get a free ride
He insisted on all melee. So there was a DK for a while, I think we had a WW monk, and a Ret. But this Arms warrior was not only good, but a decent lad too. Took losses in stride, didn’t lose his cool. Nice guy.
i think it’s probably people that don’t have any arena achievements making posts about how you can only play xyz class and not shadowpriest which is currently what? 20% of the ladder?
I’d argue it’s more like comp>skill>gear Most of the top rated players on the ladder are all sub 200 ilvl. Gear matter less now than it did in BFA. If I had to guess I’d say you’re just a bad player and are trying to say something else is the problem.
