You left - you are a deserter ergo the deserter debuff.
You sign up to do the content you sign up to do the whole dungeon or raid. Not just one boss.

One free desertion a day should be allowed for instances just like this. That, or replace missing raid members with AIs that can do the job in LFR.

To be fair, the game should take bosses killed into account. Ole boy was done, he shouldn’t have gotten a debuff.

I would’ve done the same thing in your situation. During the deserter debuff, I would just go grab mats or log onto an alt for the duration.

In a dungeon you’re still getting some loot, valor stones, etc. even if you don’t need the gear. If you kill a raid boss again you get nothing, nothing at all, there is zero reason to kill a raid boss a second time

Ya they changed it so if u leave at all you get a debuff.
Really sucks for ppl who que and get put in a half done instance. Even more so if they wanted what they missed. Cuz its leave get debuff or stay do it and then reque.

Yeah that is pretty crappy. It does suck for the entire party. Lack of loot for him/her and the rest of the team is now waiting for a filler. Probably less time waiting for a fill in than the debuff.
So I do understand all the frustrations with this cycle of shannanigans.

You signed up for the raid not a boss. I don’t see a queue for the boss. Why should someone else have to help you get gear on the boss you need if your not willing to help them on the boss they need?

No, it shouldn’t. You sign up for a raid not a boss. If you have time to go do something else (which is the only reason you would complain about the debuff) then you have time to fulfill what you signed up for.

99% of the people in the OPs situation would do the same. Blizzard put in a bandaid hotfix to address the trinket issue being on the first boss when all they had to do was move the drop to the end boss or nerf the thing into oblivion.
Now this trickled down into partial lfr runs. Yikes

then blizzard should let people loot the bosses again if they are expected to stay - the gear is not much better than heroic dungeon gear and the game allows repeat looting for that.

The issue was with dungeons - they could have left LFR alone.

brain dead take. they are already helping kill a boss. which is the boss they and the others both need.
and blizzard needs to fix this by letting us que specifically for only unfinished raids. this would solve the issue. blizzard created the issue. blizzard should fix it too.
